Problems with connecting to TADC hub

I got the address for the hub, and I try connecting, but it keeps on disconnecting me even before it asks to verify my password.
I really need some help here. Can anybody assist me?(I emailed Bizz, but I need to know now!)

most people can fix that problem (if indeed the server is up) by checking their firewall... often it will be that the settings are strange. or, that your isp/firewall has blocked port 411/412, which is what dc connects on.

however, i have encountered one person who couldnt get on no matter what. it couldnt ever connect, even when he tried everything i could think of. hopefully its not that for you.

it depends on your firewall. the one i use is norton, and you can specifically add a program and give it rights. i had to find dc, and give it all rights. id check with your isp too and make sure port 411-412 is not blocked. are you on a router?

I realise some of u have problems with the hub and what not and need somewhere / some one to ask about it, but i do belive there is now a dedicated chatroom on IRC for the hub for stuff like this.

I will leave this thread open (watches as all the TA members die of shock hehe) so someone can post just the chatroom details.

as far as other Hub threads go, they will continue to be closed.
these forums are not for direct connect hub questions and answers, its not a tech help support forum for hubs or any other peer to peer software.

There is a thread in this forum with loads of info about the hub so please refer to that.

When this was all set up Bizz agreed to having ONE thread about it, which is why we left it open.
we also said at that time if it got out of hand NO hub threads would be permitted.

its now got to the point where we have at least 5 new hub threads a day and is getting beyond a joke.

Think before u post. use the search facility of these forums.
