Nordlicht & Gouryella remix online now

Hey, the nordlicht remix is back online now, I did some minor adjustments on it, like improving the vocals and remastering the higher sounds :

nordlicht - within each of us [lightworks remix]

Please tell me what you think of it.

My remix of Gouryella's Tenshi is online now as well, it's a quite standard trance mix, but still let me know what you think :

hm, I didnt know there was a remix contest! I picked up this track when it was released on vinyl. I guess I'll try a remix of my own, considering I just finished up a track.

I'm listening to your mix now, sounds really great, you're doing some good work with it.

ok, the build up just finished, and one complaint: the high's in this track don't stand out, they seem to get flushed in with the other frequencies.. this could partially due to the mp3 conversion, but I recommend you pump up the hi's and this track will be nearly PERFECT.

ok.. now my opinion:

very nice beginning of the track! sounds perfect
but i don`t like the bassline that much, its a bit weak imo..
i really like that beautifull and proffessional sounding synth wich goes with the bassline!
strings are perfect, as usual
piano sounds cool but the vocal! ahw.. its really unclear.. it has 2 come "on top of" the track, not "in" the track.. if u understand what i mean? it just has 2 be much louder and clearer..
nice lead synth but yeah, same as chrono said: pump up the higher frequencies and this will be perfect!

ps. k ben thuis, jij bent thuis en duz zal ik deze weken (kheb nog 2 weken vkantie) wel laat opblijven, alleen zaterdags en zondags niet omdak dan meestal op stap ben, maar door de weex zal ik wel vaker laat online zijn, xie je dan wel op msn!

thx for the comments DJ Chrono & Mantis, I'm currently editing the remix just a little bit dfurther, increasing the highs in the track, which where indeed a tad low. vocals are getting cleared out as well (on top of the track as you said ).

The ONLY thing I didnt like was the way u made the main melody , u kinda alternated some notes. Didn�t like that.
Apart from that everything sounds great , the strings are huge!

although i did not change any notes from the melody i got from a friend... i'll check the original to clear it out. i think i'm a bit confused about this track... i always mix up the transa mix and the original mix

odrori : again, thx for checking the gouryella remix

as i said above, i was a bit confused... i'm gonna have to hear both version again to see what's wrong i thought the Transa mix had more drive and typical transa sounds... which i don't have
but you might be right, i'll go check it out, if i find the CD's i have it on

anyway wim, by the sounds of it u used the transa notes to tenshi, but if u want the original ones, i have them, took me 9 hours to work em out lol. anyways if u want em im [email protected] so gimme a shout

Nice buildup. I like the lead synth line (and the synth itself), really has energy but same as the others said : increase the high fq a little. I have to disagree mantis, I liked the bassline, when u increase the volume a little this place started shaking'.
the nordlich link still doesn't work

(between brackets , of is dat enkel een vlaamse uitdrukking ? : imho i think you use too much (look at the reply to robstar)
