Josh Gabriel - Alive mixdown = muddy?

I thought it was just a bad rip so I bought a lossless version of this track but it still sounds muddy. Is it me or is the mixdown that bad?

Depends on which version you have... different mastering on different versions.

The promo version on Nettwerk back in the day was great
