....it really drives me nuts.

I remember when paper hearts were the big thing. I remember when SCG and others would make them for Ferry, Armin, Markus, etc...I thought it was just a little dorky, kinda cute more than anything...never an issue with it...

...but one time Ferry was playing at RS here in SF and I saw more paper hearts and as I was standing behind him I did the heart gesture to kinda mock the paper hearts. Ferry then turned around, saw me, turned around himself and did it....and that was literally the first time I ever saw a DJ or anyone int he crowd do it. Since that night, IT'S DONE EVERYWHERE AND DRIVES ME NUTSSSSSSS!!! I don't know why. I won't take credit for starting the whole trend, because the planet has 6 billion people on it and I'm sure I wasn't the first one doing it. But it's just weird how that was the first time I ever did it, the first time I ever saw a DJ do it and the crowd react to it. It was the last time I remember seeing paper hearts in a crowd inside a club, too.

Weird. Drives me insane. Especially when I see like 30-somethings doing that crap. It's just...not right. lol. I know, I'm insane in the membrane.

hahaha. i don't really have a problem with it, i iike any sort of crowd interaction (that sounded dirty). but i can see how it can get annoying.

ha ha whats worse than that was one time at Zabiela and a big group of us were all doing the Spock hand thing all night lol. Looked back a all the pics and was like WTF were we doing. The hand heart thing doesn't bother me though. Unless its some dude like me doing it lol

Ferry was doing that since the first time I saw him, like 9 years ago and I was a measly teenager. I noticed Armin doing it shortly after, but I have seen people do it in photos as far back as Sasha in the 90's......long standing trend that never dies

edit: the fans were doing it in the Sasha pic, but Ferry was the first DJ I saw doing it, so maybe he DID start it??
