Which Ortofon cartridges are best suited for trance??

Hi all

I just got my tables and mixer.. the only thing i need now are carts. Im pretty sure i want Ortofons but im not sure which ones are suited for trance. I definately want something that wont hard my vinyls and that plays well.. but im also on a budget. Just want something that gets the job done while keeping my vinyls unharmed. Also which ones should i get? eliptical or spherical? and wat's the difference?

Thanks.

umm........if your on a budget then maybe you should look into other carts....cuz theyre gonna set you back at least $200 USD for a pair

They're all suited for trance (yes even the scratch one).
If you're only mixing in your bedroom and some occasional gig I don't reccomend Nightclubs. Not worth the price. I suggest the blue dj's. But even the Pro's are good. It's their entry level cart, but it's better than the majority of the other brands carts.

And if you're on a budget, you could still get the OM versions, those are the versions you need to mount on headshells. They are cheaper than the Concorde versions.

I'd get spherical. Elliptical are usually able to reach higher frequencies. But skip resistance is usually a little worse. For the massive dj'ing use I recommend spherical (cheaper also).
