Love Poundin' Sensation Need support for upcoming documentary Electronic Awakening

Heya there guys -

A friend of mine here in SF is putting together an amazing documentary about EDM culture and the profound transformative and unifying power of dance music.

He's got a trailer up, and they're running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to finish the project:

I'd be honored if you'd check it out, and if you like it pass the word on...

I definitely believe in the cause, and I think we've all experienced this...

Cheers!

//Derek

This actually looks interesting. Is the whole take on the Mayan Calender bend? That focus, at least in your promotions, seems like an extension of what Terence McKenna was speaking to in the Shamen's song, "Re:Evolution".

I'd be interested to know whether you've heard that McKenna piece/speech before or not. As I was watching the preview, I couldn't help but notice how closely what he was saying is similar to if not outright echoed by your featured speakers along with the narration; to the point that I'm a little surprised you seem unfamiliar with it. That song is one of the reasons I do what I do, right now, but it's also painfully dated, so it's more the striking coincidence than any fault in your work, I'm noting.

ok, wow, finally gave that a listen, and it's rad!
very much like both the musical textures and the spoken word - trippy, involving, and captivating -- just what you'd expect from McKenna.

This all reminds me of Daniel Pinchbeck's work (for which McKenna is of course a huge influence)...

Thanks for sharing man!

Yeah, definitely a subtheme in the documentary is that we're building towards something - like our energies are spiralling together towards some point.

I don't know the full story yet as since my friend is the one making the film, I have seen only as much as you have so far, but certainly a tantalizing taste...

Great tune, man, for sure.
I'm very picky about vocals and this one is great.

Ottaviani is good stuff - the track itself sounds very Sean Tyas-like to me, which is good.

whoa what?
dunno what that means, but I did release a remix for a song called "Clear Bull" by POL ^_^.
not red, but close maybe!
