Creative 2.1 speakers

I have a Creative SB Live! sound card with Creative 2.1 speakers.
I don't like them as they give me a headache when I listen to some tunes. The output sounds too high pitched. I've checked my treble control and it is only on half way.
I switched to my old speakers which are of Altec Lansing type and it sounds fine.
Does anyone feel like they have the same problem as me with the 2.1 speakers?

If you are talking about the old Creative 2.1 speakers, that were around 2-3 years ago, then those are the ones that I had. I didn't have any problems with them.
