Technics Headphones

Do you any of you guys use them for DJing?

I currently use Sony MDR V-700's but the coupling has just cracked and will probably need replacing in a month or so. I do like them but want to try something different. I used to use Pioneer 1000's but they snapped after 3 months and wouldn't really go down that route again as I know the same has happened to other people I know. I did really like the sound quality though.

I've been looking at the below and also the Sennheiser HD25's

Technics RPDH1200
Technics RPDJ1200

Any thoughts or recommendations? I've had a look over old posts but wouldn't mind a fresh perspective.

Have you considered these?

HD25's, every single part is replaceable. Give em a test if you haven't tried em yet, lovely sound isolation for such small cans.

I'm using the RPDJ 1210 by Technics and am very happy with them. Well balanced frequency range with strong bass. Not too heavy.

Ive been using Pioneer HDJ-2000 since they debuted and I couldnt be more pleased. They trump the 1000's in every sense. That and they are built to take more than the 1000's. Give it a look.

Could not agree more. Have had my pair for over 7 years, simply indestructible.

I never liked the Pioneers (HDJ-1000, never tried 2000 to be honest), too big for my head.

Have tried the Technics RPDH1200, but those didn't please me either. Too big, too heavy. Also, i find both of these to have way too much bass.

I also own a pair of Sony MDR-7506, and i do like 'em. But when it comes to dj-ing, somehow i always grab my Sennheiser.

It's a matter of preference though, but i love my HD25's.

I had the 700 and the hd25 , now I have the Sure-750 , those cans are dope, absolutely recommended

I find the Sony 700's are really bassy and the pioneers were really crisp from what I remember but the build is really bad. Didn't really trust them not to break.

If I can get a happy medium that be perfect. There seems to be a lot of love for the HS25's so I think its between those and the RPDJ 1210's. Not sure which way to go though as I do like the bigger headphones.

Hd25's are awesome. On my second pair as my first pair were stolen. I didn't think twice about buying them again.

you cant go wrong with the rpdj 1200. im using the rpdj 1210 (very similar) for about 10 years now and they never let me down. as mentoined by DjSoulstone the bass is heavy and very precise. techno kicks sound superb with these. But they sit very tight, my ears usualy hurt after a few hours of use.
I listened to a similiar model by sony wich is clearly no competition for the technics headphones.

I used them all... 7506, 700, Technics, Pioneer, you name it! They all broke except the 7506. That one just got replaced because it got really old and had a lot of wear & tear.

I got tired of spending money on headphones and I finally purchased the Senn's HD25II. I couldn't be happier. After having them for about 3 years now, I got so used to how clean they sound, that I became really picky with headphones. Def recommended. After 3 years, the chord went out, but I replaced it. It cost me $40. Compared to buying a new pair of headphones, $40 is nothing!

This was my only issue with technics phones, they sound great and are durable enough but I found they put too much pressure on your ear which becomes painful after an hour or so of wearing them. I use HD25II these days and find them of higher quality and much more comfortable.

HD25s are the shit. High attenuation for background noise. Selling point for me. Otherwise before I had Sony MDR-700
