How to recreate this riser sound?
Hey Guys,
I've been trying to recreate the riser sound used in a lot of the SHM type tracks lately, and coming up blank!
I'm not sure if it's just white noise pitching up with a weird phaser on it or something? It's particularly obvious in these samples if anyone can help?
From start of this clip:

From around 3.23 in this one:

Around 00.43 here:

Really been bugging me so any help would be appreciated!
Nah, white noise have no pitch so that would be unnecessary
Try experimenting whit rising pitch on saws and squares instead and you will probably find out pretty fast.
After that you can layer it with white noise though
this the kinda sound you are talking about?

Thanks for the quick replies guys, I think evo8 is kinda close alright. How did you get that?
Thanks for posting that tutorial Woody, but it's not really making risers that the issue is, it's moreso the sound that these guys are getting.
For want of a better way of describing it, it sounds to me kind of like a riser that sounds like it's running through a pipe or something? (Maybe it's processing with flanger and reverb that's throwing me, I'm not too sure, or maybe it's just the sound choice that's baffling me?)
I think it's probably clearest to me at 00.09 in this clip:

it was just white noise and a square wave - envelope modulating the Master pitch upwards (really long attack on the env) - into some delay and a phaser, thats it
to be honest seeing as its SHM or Steve Angello its probably a sample out of one of those Vengeance FX packs
