Posted by Psygnosis on Aug-13-2002 13:09:

what kinda trance does sasha mix.

Posted by stamper on Aug-13-2002 13:17:

Great news!

Speaking about a great 3 months, theres another name to add to the list: ANDY PERRING!

He will be here in November, playing at Viper Room (wheres that?) and at Home. For those of you who dont know Andy, he is reponsible for such guises as Insigma, Olmec Heads, and Pulser. And for those of you who havent heard of any of those 3 names, here are some songs for you to download:

Insigma - Open You Eyes
Olmec Heads - Spiritualised
Jose Amnesia - The Eternal (pulser remix)
Pulser - Cloudwalking

What a year!!

Andy Perring? @ Viper Room in Melb?

WTF?

GCSSS 01 was an organisational disgrace. I still had a good time, but they really need to get their act together this time, there are a lot of disgruntled punters out there.

Posted by Ves on Aug-13-2002 13:36:

oh my...Andy Perring too!!
Australia is turning into a trance hot spot...

by the way Dj Psygnosis, Sasha spins prog

Posted by Renegade on Aug-13-2002 14:37:

Sasha eh.....

Hmmmm.....

Excuse me while I go into the next room and start doing cartwheels....

WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!

I saw sasha play @ mobile home 2000/2001 and was impressed. He knew how to read the crowd. I think the appearance is to coincide with his new album, so I hope oakenfold will come down under as well (I had a dream that he plays here on Nov 9, which, as it turns out, is a saturday).

Posted by stipsy on Aug-14-2002 08:54:

i wish oakenfold was playing nov 9

alas we have to wait until next june

Posted by matt_a on Aug-14-2002 10:53:

F**K! WHY AM I 16!!!!!!!! FUCK
Also just confirmed is Ferry and Tall Paul on November 1 at Gas. Tickets are on sale before. Details soon. FUCK. I think I'm gonna try and get in!
Hey Stipsy
Why would Oakey come here in June when it is summer season in Europe? Isn't that why we get all the big name DJs in our Summer cause it's winter in Europe?

Posted by webmeister on Aug-14-2002 11:17:

That just made my day

Posted by Itchy on Aug-14-2002 13:18:

Hello!

This news has just confirmed my latest speculation:

THERE IS A GOD............

Posted by stipsy on Aug-14-2002 14:05:

trancey ash...

summer in europe doesnt necessarily stop big name djs from coming out here....its more of a lull in oz over the months of july and august as thats when most the big festivals are on and when ibiza is at its busiest...we always have events on around the queens birthday weekend (2nd weekend of june) and to my knowledge the Perfecto tour is booked into that weekend for next year

Posted by jc on Aug-15-2002 10:08:

any confirmed dates for Andy Perring??

Posted by matt_a on Aug-15-2002 10:47:

Thanks Stipsy

I just wasnt sure as I know Oakey is tied up al this Summer/Winter in Europe. Thanks for the MAD NEWS! FUCK I CANT BELIEVE IT PERFECTO TOUR! YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEE

Posted by Hybrid Junkie on Aug-15-2002 12:49:

Don't worry ash, I saw the perfecto tour when I was 15, you'll get in...have a mad time.

Also I think we're all up for sasha, IF GCSSS patch up their effort from last year.

wait a minute sasha?..... *runs into the next room and does some wavy gravy*

Posted by Bedrock on Aug-15-2002 15:43:

cool

I'm a bit bemused really that all you 'cheeze' lovers get all excited about Sasha. I would've thought his kinda prog house and trance would be too boring for you

so you're 99% sure he's coming to Oz, how sure are you that he's coming to the West part of Oz?

Posted by stipsy on Aug-15-2002 23:34:

umm..cheeselovers?

please explain

personally prog house and trance are THE 2 genres that i listen to (i dont even listen to hard trance)

Posted by Simon00 on Aug-15-2002 23:35:

Cheeze lovers? Who are they? Oh your one of those who can't appreciate anyone's tastes in music regardless of what it is? Define your view of cheez? Fuck i hate the way people throw that around. What just cause you have bedrock in your sig makes you the only person on here who appreciates sasha?

Posted by stipsy on Aug-15-2002 23:36:

all i know is that melbourne is december 14th and sydney is december 21st....but this "cheeselover" over here doesnt know if hes playing in perth

Posted by Jah on Aug-16-2002 02:12:

wow! i have to say im very much into prog now too... and i dont think you can go round spoutin cheese lovers bedrock granted it may not be your cup of tea but neither is prog to alot of people and theres nothing that says your dick is bigger cause you jump on the progressive is cool everything else is not. bandwagon.... its bullshit that in itself is a fucking stupid mentality that so many prog heads have... its exactly what they acuse people who like 'cheesy' music of doing :/ sucks how everyones so elitist about there tastes... just fuck it you know good music is good music....

(except gabba )

Posted by Bedrock on Aug-16-2002 03:37:

sorry if I offended anyone with my light-hearted, tounge in cheek remark... it was simply sarchastic

I think a few of you should lighten up
