Steve Lawler | Darius Syrossian @ Fortune (Vancouver)...

Surprised there was no mention of such a renowned and respected dj!

Anyways I made it. Set was deep, dark, and sexy! Overall amazing, he's definitely a true master and pioneer of his sound from when he started till now. His sound has changed a lot. Now days i find it a bit more abstract and less (easy) or home listenable. However, live changes it completely. He keeps complete control of the rhythm and dance, making both very exciting and effortless, that is if u can release/move your-self to it.

The club's system was by Funktion 1. My first time hearing and seeing the stacks. Sound was good but unfortunately was not played to its potential that night, apparently due to sound complaints! The look cool to. Still nothing compared to Stereo's (montreal) system.

Something i did notice thought that i dint like was that, when i would look at Lawler most times he looked up it would be to look at his mac...once he had the next mix or whatever he was doing in order and in the mix though he would be with the crowd for the build ups. Still though, not so nice when the dj has to be fixed on a computer screen instead of the crowd.
