Crysonik everything bundle - $59!!!

$873 worth of plugins for $59. Five days left:

http://www.crysonic.com/bundles.html

Anybody used these? I don't need any of them and I recall some very lengthy complaint threads about the company in recent years (e.g., on KVR), but I've heard good things about the plugins themselves and, at that price, I'm tempted.

Seeing as how they essentially ripped off my name, they should just comp me a free bundle.

also tempted, just the price point is enough to make me interested, even with no prior knowledge. have you gone through with it and got them?

Nice looking plugins!

They've almost continually offered this bundle for some time, I went ahead and pulled the trigger way back. I must say that I haven't really given them a proper shake, but I do like the EQ that they drop in there.

reckon they're worth the 60? as in these plugins offer something more than the standard factory?

Edit: standard factory as in just the norm for effects

Big fan of these type of deals. Bought it.

I don't remember any effects such as reverbs or delays, mostly stuff for mastering, limiting, and the like. I also remember theres a saturation plugin...I'd go look in detail but they're mostly Windows-based, and my Windows machine is having difficulties right now

Always appreciate these offers being put up here Dave, but it's wierd I just can't get excited by an offer like this despite the massive discount, so gawd knows how these firms will stay in business.

I don't know about anyone else my my current thought process goes;

Will this expense recoup itself > probably not > will these products TRULY make any noticable difference to the end user experience > unlikely > could I achieve just the same results (as far as listener is concerned) with my existing tools > probably > will the learning curve be yet another diversion > yes > so is it worth even the minor expense > no.

I was messing around with Gladiator synth trying to make a certain sound the other day and it took me two nightly sessions to get the sound I wanted, and made me think that even with the tools I have, I've years of experimentation ahead of me.

No, it looks like a great deal, but I'm in the same boat as Fledz. Would love to see a review from people who bought them, though.

Well, maybe it's just me but I don't find these plug-ins sound good at all. At least the Spectra C1 mastering compressor sounds UGLY. Still trying out the other ones, but the sound mutes far too often to get a good impression from them. Not so fond of the interfaces either (I rely on keyboard input as I can't control knobs accurately with a mouse, though at least it does let you control them in steps), despite them looking all fancy. The limiters really need a control to bring both the threshold and out ceiling down together. Spectra'Phy Pro sounds OK, as does newB if you can set it up right. nXtasy is confusing and I can't get a decent sound out of it. Spectralive NXT and SINDO really require reading of the manuals to get anything out of them, but it looks like I won't be buying these after all.

Does anyone else have any other opinions on these plug-ins? Sure they can't be beaten on price, but do they sound good? Or is it just me? I don't want to put people off from buying these altogether. newB really does what Waves' RBass does, but with more control, and if you can get something out of the other plug-ins minus the dynamics then yes. It's just the Spectra C1 mastering compressor that really doesn't do it for me. I've contacted them regarding their mute time.

My advice is to avoid these at all costs. I bought in on a similar deal a year ago. It took them forever to get me the license keys (months - I had to email them several times). After I finally got them, I found that they were not any better than what ships with Logic. As a final nail in the coffin, for some strange reason after several months of not using them, they started asking for their activation key again. I finally just de-installed them and called it a day.

Save the $ for a night out instead. You'll be happier.

If you're comparing them with the Logic internal plugins and saying those are shit I question your experience/knowledge regarding processing. I got the license within a few minutes after buying. Haven't installed it yet because I haven't had the time.
