I'm temping at BTOW at the moment, and some guy who called today had, had his account ceased because of distributing copyright material. I didn't relaise it covered things like MP3s. Anyway we had a good laugh on the phone about how much BTOW suck
and then I realised that the supervisors had been monitoring calls all day *gulp*
fuckit, just open an FTP
simple!
About 2week ago BTOW ceased our account because we (or i) wer abusing the service, i though wtf theyve bin logging our account. I asked why n its because we had been using the net for more than 12hr's a day!
we've got >40gig monthly traffic on our cable connection... they do not quite like that (upc holland)
getting warnings etc etc
fuck them, it is suppost to be flatrate

Bullshit ain't it
i think a similar thign happend to luke, i just hope that ntl dont do the gay 12 hour rule as my 2 housemates both use the same conection and beetween us id say we are online for at least 12 hours a day.
and are the bt broadband bit stopping these p2p programs becasue of copyright issuses or is their network not being able to cope with all the bandwidth?

I download stuff at uni, so unless they wanna shut down the whole university server they aint gonna stop me.

who gives a fuck, they're quick enough to charge 30 quid a month for it, If they try kicking me off I'm gonna send some serious abuse their way & Demand 2 years worth of money plus the installation fee back, I think it's just another example of the music labels & so on trying to waft a big stick over us and control us, but if I'm not mistaken we live in a free world so they can forget trying to force us to resort to buying their wank cds

hahaha
*points and laughs at all the people gullible enough to sign up with BTOW in the first place!*
lol.. this is BT we're talking about... you must've known it'd all go tits up in one way or another
ntl better not get a bad ass attitude!!!

It will never happen , BTO can't stop , P2P , P2P is a just connection to a server ffs, they can't block every I.P you connect to ,
also why do people get Broadband so they can download albums in the first place if they do manage to stop p2p , they will loose most of there customers.
Canadian isp's are capping the amount of bandwidth that you can use. I doubt everything that ISP's are doing......will stop mp3's. RIAA can't stop it.....it's worldwide now.......i don't imagine them stopping it. We would just find another way to do it....lamers.
