Greetings.
I want your opinion about these 3 songs specifically:

*Vengaboys - 24 hours
*Alice Deejay - Who needs guitars anyway
*Gigi D'Agostino - Strange

I know, i know, these groups seems comercial overhyped garbage, but in my opinion, these songs are really trance.
Now don't go replying me with insults until you have heard them, you don't have the right.

One more thing, if Delirium - Silence is trance, Alice Deejay is trance.

er...alice deejay is trance? hmm...i guess some of her tunes could be argued to be trance. but her tunes are WAY too cheesy...it doesn't do anything for me, and they're more clubby and dance then trance. these 3 choonz you listed in my opinion (and lemme restate that in my opinion ) are total cheese. not because they're commercial, not because they've been overhyped. but because they JUST are, cheese. all of these trackz are very pop-based as well and ain't really original. the sound like all the other dance tunes out there. hehe. well...i know i'm bein' a bit biased here but tis true. hey, i got nothin' against you liking these tunes The Master! and you're welcome to post it up for the rest of us to discuss! but my opinion stays firm and i take it JDdark and infinity agree with me on dis one. they hold no emotional appeal and...well if i listen to a tune and it doesn't take me anywhere or i don't feel like dancin'...then i wouldn't like em...they do nothin' for me.

trance is defined as just that. TRANCE. it puts ya in a state where everythin' around you just becomes a blur, not just a feel good tune...listen to anythin' that jan johnston has made or was a part of and relate it to ADJ and don't tell me there's no difference there. because there clearly is! alice deejay and vengaboys are more dance like because that's what there songs are for. just that. dancin'! hehe. their trackz don't really have a trance feel to them.

hehe okay i know i'm rambling but it's quite difficult to explain. like i said, you could argue it either way with valid statements on both sides...to me...there is a HUGE difference between these 3 and anythin' made my delerium or pvd for example.

which tunes make you feel emotional and which ones don't? which tunes make you feel like you wanna just close your eyes and feel the music?
which tunes send powerful imagery through your mind?

trance. and nothin' but. nuff said.

Better Of Alone was good in the beginning, then averything sucked ass, they made worse tracks, the main character enlarged her boobs, blaaeehhhh. Yuck. (Well the boobs actually look ok, but they suck anyway...)

Frankly, what they are saying is that it doesn't matter whether they have heard the songs or not. All of the 3 producers you mentioned make POP songs. They may have trance elements but they are POP songs. And you may as well just give up trying to get any sort of semantic discussion about them out of us. It won't happen. The songs are terrible. That's all the discussion needed. If you like them, well that's your thing. Move up to real trance, something with substance beyond catchy hooks. Or don't, just don't post it all over TA, you've been warned about the abuse. peace.

And by the way, no one gives a damn whether it's 24 or 48 hours or whatever. The three minute song is already too long. If you want a decent Vengaboys song get Vengaboys - Kiss (airscape remix). Just realize that the Vengaboys had no part in it's greatness.

and i agree totally biz. like i said, the 3 songs are still very dance/pop oriented and yeah i have heard all 3 them The Master. it's just a lame attempt at TRYING to merge the genres together. but once a pop tune, usually always a pop tune. hehe. unless it's remixed by somethin' like airscape.

but still, i can see how you could classify them as trance. they use the same sounding riffs as some trance tunes have used and the same beats, and the vengaboys track especially drops and rises again...drops and rises...but still...if the emotion and love ain't in the song. if i don't FEEL the track...then i won't keep it. sorry. still a dance tune to me. just PURE dancin'. hehe. the 3 have that kinda drive i guess.
