I don't know how he died.

I'm sure he was approaching 50, so it could of been due to natural causes.

Sad news. I used to love On The Run when it came out. I still have the single around somewhere, as well as a Nukleuz mix CD by him from 2002-ish. I haven't played any of his stuff in years, but I still enjoy this dreamy remix of Bassfly:
