Changing the name of the UK forum...

The public has spoken! heres the link of the thread:

for quick reference the names of ta's that supported me are:
TechNaut, dj_s_harrison, lMIlk, Dj O'Callaghan, Spad, flystyler, triton-trance, big dave, and The White Rabbi.
Now pleez give us irish ta's a home and rename the United Kingdom forum to the United Kingdom and Ireland Forum.

well, looks like ive ruffled a few feathers here! u say why change it, i say why not change it? its still the same forum, except now u get us paddy's in there with u! all it'll take is to add a few words to a line of the html code, and voila, it'll take about 30 seconds. i could be wrong pof course, it could mean changing a load, in which case thats all swamper need say and i'll leave it go. and as for my rating, unfortunately im a 56ker, and dont get all that much time on the net coz of the bill, plus i dont just spam threads randomly, im selective about my posts, and generally when i do, they're a big long rant, like this one! and as for mr. "why change it just coz 10 people say it" just check my last post and check wicked neos post smart ass, then come back to me

well my view is that as the tranceaddict forums are made up of 10,000 + people and there are at least 144+ ukta's it isnt exactly fair that just becasue 10 people say so, something should change

The way it usually works is this, if some members of TA want a regional forum they need at least 10 ppl to support the idea,
this guy is not asking for a seperate Ireland forum, Ireland may not be part of the UK but northen ireland is, and as eire itself is a damn close neighbour of ours, a lot of what applys to the UK forum applys to them too.
So it would not make any real sense in having a eire forum for 10 odd ppl so they are more than welcome to be part of the UK forum
and if it means a slight change to the name then why not ?
it wont change the ppl already posting there, it wont change the nature of that forum, and more than likely will make it better to have some new ppl and with information on other stuff we may all be interested in.

We shall all remain UKTA's but with a few extra friends to take the piss out of
and if Ocalla is a representitive of how the ireland TA's are gonna be then come post, post and post some more

I support the idea of changing the name of the UK forum to something more suitable to welcome our irish cousins

hmm the name change doesnt seem to hav attracted any more irish people that were not already active posters. I think the only post was from yourself SoulSupply which really shudve been in the tracklist forum and not uk/ireland forum. maybe we just need to give it more time or was all the fuss for nothing? meh i dunno.
