Depeche Mode trance remixes??

Any other DM fans know of any??
The only ones I have heard are Moni B. Stripped 2000 and the remix of enjoy the silence (can't remember the name, I know theres probably lots done of ETS but i have only heard the commercial one with a slower tempo).
I would kill to hear a Dumonde or SHOKK remix of one of their songs.
Maybe Behind The Wheel or Black Celebration, that would be wicked!

There is remix by Danny Tenaglia of Depeche Mode- I feel Loved and Deep Dish remix Of Depeche Mode- Free Love

as for "enjoy the silence" there's that unreleased one by mike koglin that Talla 2xlc spun right before tiesto's gatecrasher set from april (which is the best imo), and another good one is the sasha and digweed remix.

I hope that mike koglin version gets released someday... i think its pretty good.

I thought that was a track Talla made himself.Judge Jules played a white label of it on his show after NEC,and it said Talla - Can You Feel The Silence...What's the deal with this track, anyway? Will it ever get released or what?

These are the nicest versions i have heard of DM tunes, but not all of them are pure trance, some are breakz versions :

Depeche Mode
Barrel Of A Gun (Underworld Hard Mix) 9:37
Barrel Of A Gun (underworld Soft Mix) 6:29
Dream On (Bushwacka! Tough Guy Mix) 5:25
Freestate (Trance Mix) 8:25
I Feel Loved (Danny Tenaglia's Labor Of Love Mix) 14:13
I Feel Loved (Danny Tenaglia's Labor Of Love Instrumental) 13:44
I Feel Loved (Umek Mix) 8:12
It's No Good (Club 69 Vocal Edit Mix) 6:09
Only When I Lose Myself (Gus Gus Longplay Mix) 11:20
Only When I Lose Myself (Subsonic Legacy Remix) 7:03
The Bottom Line (Trance House Mix) 7:25
Useless (CJ Bolland Ultrasonar Mix) 6:03

Mike Koglin
Enjoy The Silence (12" Club Mix) 8:55
Enjoy The Silence (John B. Norman Remix) 6:00
Enjoy The Silence (Matt Darey's Tekara Mix) 8:32

And then there's that version what i think was by Talla2XLC too..

I haven't heard that one yet.. maybe i need to now

Posted by Sand Leaper on Aug-15-2002 13:12:

Yeah,I heard Orkidea spin the BT Remix @ 1groove.com once. It's nice and chilled, but the vocals get a bit tedious after a while.Good luck finding it tho,as I think this is another one of those remixes that never made it further than a few selected white labels.

I think Depeche Mode tracks should just be left as is. I realized that they are remixed by a lot of cheese producers, thus taking out the new wave feel to it. It kills the track. Depeche mode are the best at their own genre of music.

Talla's remix to ENJOY THE SILENCE is tight though.

Not when they have a girl singing the lyrics. That's not real Depeche Mode ...I do like that remix, however.

Yes, it's unreleased remix. I think it would be even better without the vocals but great track though. Full version should be available on hub, at least I have it...

I've only got 128kbit version but it's quite good rip. If more people thinks it should be shared, I can do that. Otherwise I'll pm you later tonight and give you a download link, just if you accept 128k quality .

Dumonde or Shokk would kill DM. DM have better synthwork than them as it is. (During the Violator era anyhow) Dont like newer DM stuff at all.

I would much prefer a goatrance remix, than the european trance styles.

What!? Can you imagine the riff from Stripped with SHOKK's heavy layered synths and a pounding beat, that would be sick! DM's beats are much more laid back than most trance music today. That's why I think a hard mix (while still retaining the emotion of the original) would be amazing. I agree that DM has better synthwork than those 2 producers, or any other trance producer for that matter (come on, they are extraordinarily talented and put years into making their albums), but hearing the roots of trance music in the styles of some of the modern artists would be cool.
Yeah goa would be nice too, maybe with something like Agent Orange.

Dont forget that Depeche Mode are one of M.I.K.E.s biggest influences.
I would love to see him give the Push treatment to a DM classic like Strangelove or something from Violator.

Posted by virtual dj on Aug-16-2002 11:54:

Maybe a Tillman Urmacher mix of "Never let me down again" or a Plastic Angel mix of "Just can get enough"

Posted by frontebb on Aug-16-2002 13:19:

Never Let me down again was my absolute favourite track of the 80's. I loved dave's perfomance to that in 101.

Posted by Sand Leaper on Aug-16-2002 13:39:

Yeah,M.I.K.E should make one of those deep, minimalstic takes on a DM-track.That would own.Oh,and please do share the BT Remix!!I want this one too!
