Grandparents
Let's find out about your grandparents! Or if your name is Jennifer Pie, you can just talk about all the old people you take care of
Despite me being from Kentucky, I don't have a billion cousins, cows, pigs, etc.
I never knew my father's parents, but from the stories I hear, his father loved technology and would have apparently been really proud of me
My grandmother was also apparently a huge bitch to my mother when my parents were dating, because she wanted her to "be a good wife". I guess it worked, I'm pretty well-adjusted
My mother's parents are pretty cool. My grandmother's name is Ruby and she smokes a pack of Menthols a day and chills at home playing cards on her computer. My grandfather's name is Dennis and he owns a fence company in Louisville. He's quite the jackass, but he means well. He always gives every new girlfriend of a family member that shows up at a family gathering shit saying "well at least this one isn't black" or "she isn't as fat as your last one!" regardless of who it is.
I got some cool grandparents. What about the cor?
They are all dead. I only killed one of them. The coolest thing i guess, is that i had grandpas on both sides of WW2.

He was born Buck Naked though.
Grandpeople own. Including Nazi grandfathers.
My one grandfather who died 2 weeks ago was a large animal veterinarian. He owned his own practice which serviced mainly dairy farms for about 50 years. He worked his own way through both Cornell undergrad and Cornell vet school and was one of the hardest working people I've ever met. He's one of my biggest role models.
His wife actually went to the same college I did, but ended up being a secretary at his practice and a housewife.
My other Grandfather was a GM for some company that makes industrial springs for some shit that I don't know about. I don't really talk to him much because he's super conservative and super catholic so we really have nothing in common and all he talks about is politics.
His wife was a secretary at a grade school I believe, but retired fairly young. She's very quiet but is one of the sweetest people I've ever known.
I'm very lucky to have 3/4 grandparents still living, and I know all of them at least fairly well. I've basically had 3 Christmases every year for my entire life, which is also pretty sweet.
Family names were Walton, Russell, McBride, and Walsh. Basically they all came here for college. Cornell, U of R, St. Joseph's, and somewhere else I can't remember.
/cocaine is a helluva drug.

All mine are dead now.
I wasn't really close with any of them, so I don't know too much about them. Grandfather on my dad's side died when dad was 6 so I never met him (obviously). Dad's mum was always at home, I don't really know what she did
She got Alzheimer's in her 80s and kinda lost it, which was sad.
Mum's dad died a few years ago. He was in the Navy for WW2, then was a carpenter until he retired. Then he taught lawn bowls to mentally impaired kids at his local bowls club.
Mum's mum died about 10 years ago. She was into gemstones and geology stuff, and also botany. She has a species of Grevillea named after her, but for the life of me I couldn't tell you which one. She was also an abusive, alcoholic bitch, and she ruined pretty much every Christmas and family gathering that I can remember throughout my entire childhood

delicious.
Mine are all dead too. Both grandfathers were in World War 2.... one in the Army stationed in N. Africa and was in France a few weeks after Normandy. He got a purple heart but I don't know exactly what for- he didn't like to talk about the war. The other one was in the Navy- he hated growing up in Philly so much that he lied about his age at 17 to enlist and get the hell out. Both grandmothers were crazy little Portuguese women. One was an attorney and the other one was a typical house wife. It sucked when we moved to Florida because I didn't get to see them that much anymore. Grandparents rule.
Oh I forgot all of my grandparents seem to be inadvertently racist towards black people and asian people as they refer to them as "colored" or "oriental" respectively. Probably because they grew up in a society that was like .05% not white.
Last time I saw my grandad, he was complaining bitterly that a movie like Brokeback Mountain was even allowed to exist, let alone shown in a cinema. "But they're fuckin' poofters! That's not fuckin' right!"
