Bicycle Experts?

This is a question for all your bike experts out there.

I took the rear wheel off to remove the plastic disc and now when I put the wheel back on, it barely moves. I have to press the pedal really hard to move the wheel even a little bit.

Any help?

The tighter the Quick release skewer is, the less the wheel moves.

Check to see if there's drag there first. And then make sure there is not too much tension on the chain, for whatever reason.

Ohhh that might be it. The way I usually tighten the quick release is that I engage the lever and then spin the nut to tighten down. Once it gets close to tight then I un-engage it, tighten the nut, try the lever and repeat until it's tight enough to hold the wheel in but not to tight to drag.

check that they're alligned well, also don't squeeze the brake lever on the wheel on the bike whilst the wheel is out. When you've got it in, with the bike upside down you should be able to spin the wheel and change your gears to make sure that the wheel looks to be true and that each change goes smoothly, if it looks off then just start again.
