2 day Labour of Love

Looks like Guv is going big for their 15th Labour of Love this year!

Dubfire is the only name I've heard to be playing so far.

His set last year was incredible. It was my first LOL in 4 years and I would consider going again if he was there with Dubfire+more.

I missed him last week so ya, I'm hoping he comes back lol.

Last time I checked clubs are businesses, not charities. If you don't like it, then don't go.

Thanks for the heads up. Enjoy paying $80 x 2 for Zoo's leftovers.

I haven't been to a Labor in 5 years, but it was special back in the day because it was one night with a crazy lineup and all the bells and whistles. Over the last few years the lineups have gone so far downhill, and now with Zoo, its obvious they just can't attract the names they used to. So what do they do? Decide to spread the weaker lineup over two days. Yes, its a business. No shit. Still a cash grab.

it's been a while since avicii was here, i hope he plays!!

Above and Beyond, MArkus Schulz, John Digweed in KH. Thats plenty quality if you ask me.

Axwell Fedde Le Grand Roger Sanchez Guv Room. Seems up to Standard.

Haters will hate. Last Years was Tight don't know about you...

having it on two days def kind of waters down the event. but they haven't even announced the lineup yet.

and Avicii was her in April no?!

I just need to hear Ferry Corsten is coming and I'm in heaven.

Bring the artists playing the Sunday Grove to Guv and ill be happy

Loco Dice vs. Luciano would be a treat
Any of the techno acts too

wait im dreaming!

Well I was in KH most the Night anyways. Being a Trance/Progressive head and All...

Whoops I mixed up lasts yrs May 2-4 House LineUp w/ LoLs.

Anyways, I'm not sure what you expect of them. To grab all underground DJs that wont sell the place out?!?

Dude, how come Guv would sell out the place WITH underground djs when it was in it's peak when I first started partying? Like the smirnoff ice party there (the first one).

I hate hate hate how it seems as though Guv has stopped bringing in a variety of djs (a long time ago) in addition to the 'big names'.

I hope this two day Labour ends up being a stacked line up and not just the same old commercial crap.

LOL @ so much hate before even a single detail is released other than it'll probably be 2 days this year (which seems like good news to me). I believe full deets were disclosed less than a month before the event last year and right now we're a solid 1.5 months away from that point. I'm all for bashing (cause it's damn fun and makes you feel good) but let's wait until there's something to bash other than history at least.

How do you know if it's going to be a ripoff before price is released?

How do you know they're going to have a waterdowned lineup (ie 1 days worth of artists spread over 2) when you don't have a single name?

Further proof guv gets hated on for being one of the biggest of it's kind in the city (or North America for that matter). $50 says someday it will inevitably be shut down and the exact same people will be non-stop talking about the glory days when it was open and how crap the city has it now that it's gone.

^^^
I agree for the most part. I wasn't trying to talk shit or come off sounding like a hater. I'm just saying that its different with Zoo being around now, and based on recent years, its been a watered down commercial lineup. I think its pretty safe to say price will start around $50 and go up depending when you buy. If you don't buy ahead, expect ~$100+ at the door (which is rediculous no matter whos playing)....

Who knows. Maybe guv will surprise everyone with a really forward thinking and unique lineup. Infected Mushroom? Probably.

LoL will sell out almost regardless of which DJs they bring in. I don't think anyone is suggesting it should be an all underground DJs event anyhow. Besides, what is an underground DJ nowadays? I think people would be happy with some variation from the norm or some of the less commercial DJs.

Personally, I would like to see DJ Irene, Lisa Lashes, Orbital, Moby, and many others but I know that isn't going to happen.
