I am fairly new to this program and i was wondering how do i record samples from the drum machine "redrum"
ive created a beat that i really like and now when it comes to recording it in the composition im totally lost.. shouldnt it be so simple to just hit the run buttton then the red record button?
i try this and it doesnt do anything..

Or do i have to manually input each beat and draw it in with the pencil tool?

i dont want ot have to do that cause it takes ages!

anyways any help would be appreciated .. thanks a bunch!

you select the redrum on the left side list on the timeline, then right click on the actual redrum device, and select "copy pattern to track"

it will make your pattern go inbetween the L and R markers on the timeline.

to set the L marker, hold down the "ctrl" button and click on the bar at the top of the timeline. for R marker, hold down "alt" and click it.
