3. Deep Aural Penetration - Thoughts Of Summer Love (Vagabond Mix)
4. T. Solomon - I Got U (Original Radio Mix)
5. Reggie Hall - Music (Instrumental Mix)
6. Inner City - Follow Your Heart (MK Mix)
7. Passion In Fashion - Body To Body (The Loft Mix)
8. House of Prince featuring Oezelem - Perfect Love (Perfect EDK Dub)
9. Passion In Fashion - You Make Me Wanna Make Love
10. Cookie - Choose Me (Extended Mix)
11. Smooth Touch - House of Love (Seduction Mix)
12. NYDc - Up In This House (NY Mix)
13. The Daou - Surrender Yourself (Ballroom Mix)

haha yes I tried to come up with a cool set name.

yonny, I'm using this mixer:

are you talking about that knob beside the 6th channel? sorry man im not sure if I touched that.

Posted by yonny on Jul-05-2011 20:03:

i dunno, just that the tunes keep sounding on different channels, some on the left, and others on the right

Posted by Domesticated on Jul-05-2011 20:37:

What's the point of having a mixer like that if you don't know how to use it?

you could be right. when I make my next mix, I'll see what the deal is.

it was brand new and the store gave me a deal on it. it's true that Im not sure how to use every single feature on it, but I've made mixes fine without using them.

ahh I know what you're talking about now. you're right, yes it is indeed a panning issue. the stereo output does get uneven. I never had this problem with my previous mixes but it's obvious I was playing around with the mixer. I won't do that again. it's good I learned something new. I hope all of you can bear with me and enjoy the mix though.

Cheers dude, ill take a slice of this

Posted by Mattsanity. on Jul-22-2011 19:55:

hi. here's the mix without all the panning.

Ill give it a go, the paning really killed me last time..

Some massive tunes in there! The first transition was horrible, i got so scared i turned it off. But after a while i decided to give it another chance. The mixing is weak, almost sven-väth'ish, but the tunes are really good. Keep up the work on the mixing part, the trackselection was good

thanks for the cutthroat criticism. I'm not buying the criticism on mixing though. it sounds like you didn't even know where the transitions are. you need more people for me to believe you.

seriously, i just gave you my opinion(which is why people put their mixes on a forum). Im not even going to answer on wether i know or not where the transitions are...

Matt, you really are a fucking idiot. I'm serious - do you have some sort of learning problem, or something? You ask for "cut throat criticism" and when people point out the very obvious fuck-ups in your mixing you accuse them of hating or not knowing what they're talking about. Who the fuck do you think you're fooling? Yonny is a skilled DJ. You don't even know your way around your own mixer. Nobody's going to give your mixes the time of day if they get this kind of moronic back-chat from you when offering perfectly fair feedback. I'm certainly never listening to any of your mixes again after you gave me this shit for critiquing your big beat set.

the first transition was correctly beatmatched, so your criticism of it must've been a different aspect of the transition. the obvious mess-up in the transition was the last one. the rest, which were 11 other transitions, were fine in my opinion. if I'm wrong on the 11, then point them out. it sounded like you listened to the first transition (which I found decent) and either stopped listening to the mix or skipped through the rest. when you said the mixing was weak, you were basically saying every part of the mixing was weak. of course I'd take offense to slander.

about the big beat mix, that's ironic about your review on my big beat mix considering how you were talking shit BEFORE I even posted the mix. you must have some kind of vendetta against me. the question is, why? you suddenly pop up in this thread and give a random malicious post.
and why should I give a flying fuck if you listen to my mixes or not? you've only reviewed 1 out of the 5.
I'm dropping a 1992-94 progressive house mix in less than 2 weeks. I thought that's your favorite genre.

What shit was I talking, exactly? Copy and paste, so we can all see it.

I just had a listen to the first transition to see who is right, and it's an obvious trainwreck. There's no slander, you're just a shit DJ and a fucking moron to boot. And I've no interest in hearing a bunch of tracks I already own mixed this poorly, so post away with the prog mix.

coming from someone who thought a progressive house track I posted in the MD wasn't progressive house.

they can just search the big beat thread in this section.

and it's obvious you're a hurting individual. get high or something.
let's say the first transition is a botched trainwreck. ONE transition doesn't speak for the rest of the mix.

anyway, I love you. I'll be hopping a plane to Leeds to attend your nuptial.

I'll save them the effort: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=599973

Yeah, I was really hating on you, wasnt I?

I can't be bothered to listen to the whole mix, but I trust Yonny when he says the mixing was bad. Either way, that's not the point. Rather than take a perfectly accurate and friendly piece of criticism, you outright fucking deny that you've trainwrecked and you insult his intelligence by claiming he doesn't know what he's talking about. It pisses me off to see such stupidity and ingratitude. Usually I'd say you were just trolling, but I don't see why anyone would troll their own mix and ruin their own chances of getting people to listen.

Posted by Mattsanity. on Jul-29-2011 19:48:

newsflash, after listening to the first transition a dozen times, I agree with yonny. even though I beatmatched properly, I introduced the 2nd track too soon so that's why that first transition sounded nasty.

I said I'd believe yonny if he had more people - he has 3. that's enough, and that's all I wanted.
