Unhappy Help Warping a LIVE Non-EDM Track

I gotta admit, I suck at warping non edm tracks, specially LIVE ones. Any tips would be appreciated.

There's a very popular song that's hitting hard and it's in the Top 10 right now but there's no good remixes of it so I wanna remix it. It was recorded LIVE at the Hollywood Palladium a couple months ago for an MTV Unplugged special. The song skyrocketed to #1 on LA radio because it brought together two of Mexico's biggest artists from two different genres - Paulina Rubio (Dance, Pop, House, Trance, Etc.) and Los Tigres Del Norte (Accordion, Country & Folk) and if that wasn't enough, they also used a live orchestra! Needless to say, I can't get this song to warp correctly.

Any tips would be great! Or if anyone of you wanna give it a try, here's the track.

Thanks!

Sounds like you'll have to go bar to bar...

ya just start on bar one and do it bar by bar, put mode on complex if you're switching BPM by more than 10

When we've worked with live musicians for score, their timing can sometimes leave a little to be desired, but then we've got both synth Orchestra, Vox and other instrument overdubs to do, and it's all got to conform to specific bar timings.

What we often had to do was "click out" the track. Here's how the trick works:

Cue up the audio track that you need to quantise.

The choose a synth on a midi track that can make a click sound.

Now put that track in to record and press a key in time with the beat of the track (or at least where you hear the beat in terms of timing).
You have to make sure quantisation is switched off.

Assuming the track is 4/4, you now have a "map" of where every bar is and what needs to be warped, so you just select a distance of 4 (clicks) beats, and warp/timestretch to the tempo you need.

Your thread got me thinking that it would be cool if Ableton had some kind of function where you could tap out the beat and it would autowarp live track and tracks with tempos changes.
