How does Skrillex mix/master his tracks?

I don't know. He said he does 100 percent of his productions.

I'm operating under the theory that Deadmau5 does all his stuff.

It's not impossible. There are plenty of people making excellent music from start to finish on entry/budget level music-gear.

That's a lie. He has a huge professional 100k studio in his basement with all analog synths.

haha ya he does everything on his mbp, with just the same chain on his master channel as all of his records.

I see. I wish I knew before, I feel so stupid now.
I thought I knew most of the secrets already but this one is new.

Makes sense they spend an extra few 1000 to set up a fake studio just to pretend you're street. Wit a 100k setup the result is far less impressive.

Lol, exactly. It's difficult to be non conformist, when you sit in front of an mac all day.

For fucks sake, he was paid to use krks....blah angry blah angry blah...they just pay people to use their kit so hipsters will buy their crap products....etc, etc, etc.

Ah, feel better now, glad I got that off my chest.

KRK's Suck end of discussion

It's not a conspiracy, that's the name of the game my friend. That shit is all around you. It's a integral part of the "industry." If you're an artist promoting stuff you actually use and love, well then I don't see a problem getting a bit of cash for that. But if like, Behringer phoned up and asked me to push one of their products I'd tell them to go suck one.

That's only for his rough mixes. For his album mixes he uses the more expensive setup. Lots of pros have scratch pad work stations.

Whatever... I'm jealous

Those aren't KRK Rokits... they are in the VXT series which are quite decent monitors.

Once again, having good musical knowledge, compositional knowledge, technical knowledge, and even some good knowledge of physics goes far in producing.
