This is actually a great single osc synth.
Some really nice "organic" sounds

I suppose, if that's all you want to do with it. Don't let the single oscillator thing fool you - it's not a monosynth. It's basically a lite version of Zebra2 and is far better better spec'ed than many payware synths. And, yes, you can detune the oscillator against itself (L/R IIRC) for some huge basses, pads, leads, SFX, etc. Download it and try it - you won't be sorry. The presets alone are worth the time and are designed by some pretty big names in sound design (e.g., Howard Scarr) and you can get more at:

I love the Pads this thing makes!

Nothing wrong with free synths, even if they have just one oscillator

Oh, I'm used to seeing "one osc" also mean "mono", but I guess that's only really with hardware, right?

Posted by kitphillips on Jul-14-2011 04:12:

Its not the case with hardware at all.

you're confusing monophonic with one oscillator per voice.

Of course, every oscillator can create a voice, so technically, a hardware synth with 6 voices has six oscillators, but generally it'd be referred to as a single oscillator synth because there's one oscillator per voice.

Damn, this thing has better sounding output than Absynth or Massive. Very rich organic sound. Really cool visual automation parameters too. Two awesome free production tools, this and that gross Molot compressor to surface in one week! Feels good man.
