Breaking Bad

4 1/2 hours until the return of the best TV show in a decade.

Probably because Joss Whedon has absolutely nothing to do with it

The ending was awesome, of season 3. Will Jessie wuss out or will he finally be a man.

MR White is dah bomb.

Well...it didn't explicitly show it but the season did end with the gun pointed and fired. I don't think he had any option other than that one. So he certainly became a man. I thought it was fantastic in how it showed, for the first time, how Walt and Jesse really do need each other.

I'm really excited for this tonight. I rewatched the first 3 seasons over the past few weeks and managed to get my brother interested. Every friend he's had over since has been made to watch the pilot with him lol.

As for Walt becoming a kingpin himself - I just don't see it happening. He's too...human, or something along those lines, to evolve so drastically. As often as we hear Walt commend Gus for his actions by saying "if I were in your position, I would do the same thing" I just have trouble believing him. I don't see him as being capable of overseeing a war with the mexican cartel. We know enough about Walt and his motivations to understand that 'drug kingpin' just isn't where he's going. I would be very surprised if that somehow started to happen.

Walt can go far, but like Daze said, he has compassion. He's just doing his possible to live a good life from which he got ripped off of.

Posted by jupiterone on Jul-18-2011 00:56:

every time i've seen the reruns of this show i fucking love it. however, i've only seen 2 or 3 random episodes and wish to see it in HD rather than just watching through some random online stream. i may catch the season premiere tonight but i don't know if i should considering spoiling the previous story building

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Jul-18-2011 01:08:

if you haven't at least seen the last 2 or 3 episodes of season 3 then i wouldn't watch it tonight.

Never seen this show, but it seems to be what all the hipsters like to watch.

Hipsters like meth because coke is too commercial.

The new episode was fucking crazy. It makes sense, but still crazy.

I liked this show BEFORE it was cool.

well, outside of that one glaring twist, i think everything else was to be expected. there were only so many ways the situation could run its course... i wish it had went another way - the way it played out obviously invites the gus-tuco comparison. Gus is intelligent and sly but ruthless nonetheless.. I was hoping that we'd dig deeper into the gus-walt comparison this season (and maybe we still will). I'd like to know what makes him tick, where he came from, and all that stuff. The major drama right now is walt thinking "he could still kill us...". i want them to be on good terms again and to see more episodes like the one when gus had walt over for dinner lol

^yeah i recognized that right away too...i was kinda taken aback - the track has been used in a lot of stuff and it's a bit old now

Posted by PvDoBseSSioN on Jul-18-2011 21:55:

i think jesse is gonna be a prick all season again and fuck everything up like he always does, saul is gonna die and skyler is gonna try to get walter back, not the other way around

my prediction

So what do the Bromine and Barium symbols in the title have to do with the series?

Posted by saluyamo on Jul-19-2011 13:21:

I'm thinking Walt pushed Jessie to far now Jessie is the one who has broken bad the most

What will the lab notes reveal to the cops? How long are Walt and Jesse safe from Gus? Will Hank get that mineral with all the little blue crystals he's bidding on? In 90 mins we will see.

Posted by Joss Weatherby on Jul-25-2011 01:00:

Poor Hank.

"Are you buying a new rock?"

"I am bidding on a new mineral!"

So depressing...
