PC DJ Question
Ok, I have setup 2 sound cards on my PC..
1 is Sound Blaster Live - goin to speakers..
2 SoundMax sound card (on the motherboard) - going to my headphones..
My question is... DO I need to be able to monitor 1st sound card (SB Live)?
2 - do I need to have 2nd sound card going out to speakers also?
I am using BPM Studio 4.6..
*i assume that you do not use an external mixer with bpm studio*\
in BPM Studio options:
Audio I/O:
Driver: DirectSound Driver - best choice for your soundcards
Monitor: Soundmax soundcard - this way, the monitoring will go to your headphones.
Player A: SB Live! - |there will be three choices there. (Front, Rear, don't remember the third one about your live soundcard)
Player B: SB Live! - |the third is the one you should choose
Sampler: same as player A&B
CD Player: Same also
DO NOT FORGET to press on the "Soundcard Test" button. it will enable you the "Monitor Enabled option"
you should DEFINITELY check the Monitor Enabled option. unless you check it, the Soundmax soundcard is USELESS.
leave all other "as is".
i hope that helped... this way, you will monitor through your headphones & drive the main output through your speakers.
Under your tracklist there are two buttons, that each monitor one of your channels.
1.NO, you do NOT need to be able to monitor SB Live
2.NO, you do not need a 2nd sound card going to your speakers.
Excellent explanation. Many thanks!!
my first gig - free ticket for u..
