Speaking of beauty...it's alright

Only 64MB? Come on it's all history, mp3 players and mini discs wit' a small memory...
Get one of those Rio Volt's or Nomad Jukebox'es.
10+ hours of music =p

yeah i know. it's retarded. and the sell for $200+. but this playa is realllly cheap, price wise, for allll those features and it's both an mp3 and cd player...hmm....they could easily sell this for a lot more and people would still buy them. it just made me think about it...that's all.
Well this is not a MP3/CD player - but not bad for a bang-up home job!
I found this site by accident and this dude has created his very own MP3 car stereo from scratch!
http://www.ryanspc.com/carmp3/
Impressive!
dam why go thru all that trouble when you can buy a mp3 player from Sony or Aiwa..for 300.
cause, building it is half the fun.
a mp3 car stereo is awesome.
Get an Archos
Guys, mp3/cd players are a pain in the ass. All you're gonna be doing is trying to decide what to put on a particular cd and what you have to exclude due to space restrictions.
Get an Archos 6gb player over at http://www.funmp3players.com and actually enjoy carrying around your music - this thing is 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" big and will store more Tiesto/Armin/Oakenfold/VanDyk than you know what to do with. Kicks the nads out of the Jukebox, and can later be upgraded to 20gb+ models.
Best of all, the company has a rebate offer right now, making this thing only $245 off of this site. Do you really wanna spend $145 on something you have to burn cd-r/w's for, when you can carry around most/all of your mp3s at one time with something for just another franklin?
Anyway, hope this post didn't read too much like an ad for the thing... but getting an mp3/cd player at this point would be a waste of cash to me.
Adios

btw they don't cost much at all, as a matter of fact their cost is a pprox the same as a typical CD player.
I checked it out!!!
Really sweet player!!!
I hope it comes out soon, good thing I didn't go for the Volt or something else.....gotta love the screen on the remote....thats a sweet addition!
If you can't wait until Rio-Volt 2 comes out : buy yourself the Rio Volt , i have it and it's awesome
Best Bang for the Buck
Check out this jukebox - 20 gig HDD inside now even though the website says 6, that's a lot of trance in your pocket. The cool thing about this player is that it will play different codecs and is firmware upgradable for future codecs. Here is the address http://www.treoplayer.com/ should be shipping soon and will blow the nomad out of the water.
