2011.09.04 [LA] Labor Day Sunday w/ Ferry Corsten + Kristina Sky @ Avalon (Giant) | Special Event!

Super stoked to announce that Mr. Ferry Corsten finally makes his return to L.A. for a proper club date, Sunday September 4th 2011!

It's been a LONG time comin'!!

ferry has been pretty boring as of late, but i'll see if i can make this. we land from vegas that evening..if i have enough energy will try to make it

This will be his 2nd gig of the day, on an off nite, during a holiday weekend when people tend to go out of town.

i'd think most would agree that proper would be a saturday night on any other weeekend when it is the only ferry set that day.

I thought his set at EDC was alright. A lot of his own stuff but hey...i can never get sick of "made of love"

Thanks Kristina! Just bought my tickets! now i dont need to go to Vegas for LDW. Friday Andy C, Sunday Ferry. I just need something for Saturday!

Not everyone can or even wants to go to Vegas. For many, staying in L.A., saving a bunch of time & money, seeing one of their favorite DJs who hasn't played a club date in this market in years would still be considered pretty "proper" To each their own though! There's hundreds of thousands of clubbers to go around now so it'll be a great night regardless imo

And about 2nd gig of the day, it's not uncommon as you well know. The big date of the two will be the Avalon show and there's no doubt he'll bring it. He absolutely KILLED Marquee when we played there in April, and "trance" doesn't even go over as big there as the house stuff does. It was a massive night!

Anyway, have fun wherever you end up BP and hope to see a bunch of you other TAs out in full force!

i'm all over this his edc set was disappointing but i'll blame it for being on a sunday and the 1hr set time in which those cases it's more or less just a showcase of their top hits to please the crowd.

hopefully like markus he'll use up the whole night till the sun comes up, play some new hits (kuz we know it's coming), and make it epic!

and ksky is there which never disappoints so regardless it's a recipe for a good night

I personally didn't mind his EDC set that much, even though it was all the big bangers. I was able to catch him in Seattle 4th of July weekend, and his set was much much better then EDC; had me going the whole night. Also would really love it if Ferry played a nice long set like Markus as well, and just bought my tickets.

Any idea how long Ferry will be spinning for, Kristina? I'll definitely check it out if Ferry plays 3+ hours.

And I agree with modthispny, Ferry's sets have been too predictable = boring. With a 3+ hour set, he can get more creative, throw in more IDs and still have time to squeeze in a number of his crowd pleasing hits.

Lets do it big this night Ferry!

I'm in! Will just be getting back from Europe the Tuesday before that weekend, so def staying in town and am looking forward to this night!

I'm definitely going; I was at Avicii during Ferry's set at EDC and I haven't seen him in forever! Very excited about this.

Got my ticket! I hope he plays for more than 2 hours.

yup KSky another epic booking for avalon. I just hope he will throw down a good 3 hours minimum.

#trancefamilyLA will represent big time. Ferry hasn't been in LA club for lonnnnngg time.

tickets are already 30 bucks, so happy i got mine when they were cheap.

who will be there to repeat to Markus schulz Mayhem ?

I doubt that it is possible to repeat what markus has done to avalon

I hope ferry tries to impress us but there is nothing even close as far as markus and avalon goes

considering its the labor day weekend, a lot of people will be out of town. Hopefully it won't be THAT crowded like Markus since its a Sunday night afterall. With that said..I think i'll try to arrive by 11 this time because waiting in line sucks.

poor ferry has some big shoes to fill, but he hasn't done a club gig in ages so i'm sure he'll deliver.

just don't expect it to be as hard or twisted and dark as markus

The last few times I've seen Ferry, as with most of you, it's been sort of a "Greatest Hits" set. I'm glad we'll get to see him stretch his legs with this one.

Everyone that knows me knows I'm a HUGE Ferry fan, and I always give him the benefit of the doubt, so I'm REALLY looking forward to this.

Yes, I saw you there and said hi! His set was good, but he still played a lot of his hits and it was only 2 hours.
