hard house

for those who give a rats ass, I made this thread to clear up some confusion between subgenres. yes there's UK hard house and NY hard house. most of the tracks I posted in the garage house thread I made were hard house, especially the first track. also the "garage house" trilogy I made are actually NY hard house music. sorry about the confusion.

this is NY hard house.

You can actually hear the gay in the music.

I like hard house, but this is so ancient that the hard in hard house hadn't even been developed fully.

I don't like the use of snares in a lot of these tracks.

hard house might be considered gay but digweed & sasha were playing hard house in 1995

Posted by Trance-M on Sep-06-2011 20:52:

I still can't see what's gay about that.

Tracks like in this one, e.g. at 42:15 I think I could call gay. But regardless of that I do like many of those tracks. Also of course the last track which soooo goooooood, but also very gay (Dub Foundation - Emotions):
