Problems with Traktor Pro 2 and beat matching???
I've been using Traktor since Traktor 3, then Traktor Pro, now Traktor Pro 2, and I've noticed that TP2 is horrible with beat matching... What I mean is it messes up more than any previous version I've used when it comes to syncing two tracks together. Take for example "Rebound" by Arty & Mat Zo. I am unable to get this to sync properly with any track.
Anyone else experiencing more problems with TP2 vs older versions? Can anyone else get "Rebound" to sync with other tracks?
Any advice on how to help solve the problem?
Thanks,
Keith
Its because the track is either drifting or you lack skill.
Or it isn't gridded properly
I've tried gridding it properly, and I think I have the skill considering I've been using Traktor for a few years now... But maybe you can elaborate?
Can someone upload a video of "Rebound" being gridded properly?
with the new tracktor and the zoom option it is nearly more flawless than the one before.

I would ASSUME TP2 is better, but I'm telling you I'm finding more and more tracks that wont sync properly... Would appreciate some help here guys!
a video of how i grid and played it, with a completely different genre mixed in.
Some people might do it different but this is how i do it, and all my lines meet nearly exact at there peaks.

Would you mind explaining what you did in the first video as I'm not very familiar with the process of manually gridding a track (and it's difficult to see the buttons you pressed given the angle of the TV)? I appreciate you taking the time to post the video! Also, out of curiosity what BPM did you come up with for "Rebound"? -Keith |
yeah... 5,700 mp3s... didn't beatgrid them myself
Would you mind explaining the process of how you set up the beat grids? I'm not familiar with the process and I couldn't really follow via the video (I think there was a lot of scrolling and maybe hitting keyboard buttons in the process). Thanks.
This video is based on TPro 1, but from what I saw so far on TPro 2 the procedure doesn't change much, except you can zoom in a lot more (a + / = / - button show up when you place your mouse on the track grid) to place more accurately the beat-mark.
^thx mate!
the only way to really make it idiot proof is to warp them in ableton. I used to dj years ago and now my brother asked me to dj his wedding and I found the sync function rather useless as there is always some minor phasing so you might as well just dj like you did in the past riding the pitch shirt.
Ableton does it pretty fast. Takes a bit of time to get it down but will take about as long as it will take to listen to the track.
