Beauty vs. Intellect.

The shadow of having enthralling genetics will always overpower an intellectual mind that is lacking attractive inheritance. (intercommunication).

Psychologically, anything that looks "attractive" is by default, sustained as a powerful, pleasurable, a complete image of one-self.

Am I wrong? Am I wrong?

I don't know what to make of this considering that trollface is in your signature.

eye of the beholder and all that. 'attractive' attracts. 'repulsive' repels. isn't that self evident? the variable is in when society tells you you ought to be attracted and ought to be repulsed. some of us are attracted to the replusive and repulsed by the attractive. some of the greatest beauty is the most terrible.

Your opinion is oil, extra virgin.

Disagree! Beauty attracts no doubt but there is a line after which the beauty loses it's appeal if there is no intellect to back it up.

I find average looking girls, who have the ability to hold an intelligent conversation with you to be far more attractive than dumb hotties. The latter may be good for 1 night stands and flings , but get into a long term relationship with them and you'l probably end up shooting yourself.

Even at the workplace, your looks may help you land the job but , I can guarantee that, if the good looker has no intellect, he or she will not move to far up the corporate ladder.

Do note that I am assuming the interpretation of a 'lack of intellect' to also include a lack of charisma and street smarts.

Fortunately, you can have it all, as science informs us that beautiful people are generally not just better-looking than uglies, but smarter, too:

http://www.newser.com/story/109923/...so-smarter.html

I say this as an ugly person.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Aug-09-2011 02:05:

It's because we are attracted to healthy partners; Biological imperatives must deign this to be very high on our priorities for seeking a suitable mate. Smart people are healthy, because they do not make stupid choices about what to do with their body. Not always, of course, but it makes sense, no?

//Excluding ivofivo, of course. He's always acted like he's attractive, but we all know he's fucking dumb as shit.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Aug-09-2011 02:09:

Here's a really, really smart person:

God damn look at those elbows

Posted by Tasty Onions on Aug-09-2011 02:14:

Eh, ugly people can be very healthy. There are ways one can be ugly other than just being out of shape.

I read such studies more like this:

Good genetic material -> good looks
Good genetic material -> low intelligence

Bad genetic material -> ugly looks
Bad genetic material -> low intelligence

Body and brain aren't separate, they're part of a unified constitution, determined mostly by genetics. In other words, have the wrong parents and you're just fucked both ways.

My mother saw this post and told me not to listen to you because I am handsome.

You can make any rationalizations as you want, but as of our bio-instinct, a rose would always represent a more vividly powerful design than grass.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Aug-09-2011 02:46:

BUT ROSE LOVES GRASS

HOW CAN YOU MAKE HER CHOOSE???

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Aug-09-2011 02:49:

But seriously, have you ever tried to grow roses? They're finicky and prone to withering at the slightest err. Grass is a much stronger and more widespread plant.

Now stop leeching off of Jamba Juice's wifi with your earplugs in; You're not even listening to anything!
