Mat Zo at Vola: Review.

Normally, a thread started at this time is ecstasy induced. And this thread indeed falls into such category. However, the stimulus is not chemical, but natural.

This was the first real trance show I've been to in over a year, and holy shit did I enjoy it. So happy my girlfriend and I spontaneously decided to show up. The bouncer let us in for free, which was obviously a bonus. I was the maniac dancing at the left side bar in the blue and white striped dress shirt. Dead sober save a couple cocktails about two hours prior to arrival. Danced and sweated my ass off and absolutely adored Mat Zo's set! So happy to have heard incredible trance again.

Awesome vibe last night! another Envy and Ozmozis event that has been amazing. Smiles on everybody's faces, crowd interaction was proper

Mat Zo played hard and was very impressive. Morton closed out very nice as well.

It was a fun night. The crowd had a lot of nice people, and it wasn't too packed. Mat played a great set, another name to cross off the list.

Not a complaint, but kind of. I don't know why Mat was rushed out of the DJ booth at the end of the night with the equivalent of a presidential secret service detail. I thought the fun of Vola was that you get to meet the artist, snap a pic, and then appreciate how this could never have happened at Guv.

Anyways, well done to the organizers for bringing him in.

Mat was there at least an hour before hand available to speak and take pics with anyone by the upper bar (like almost every dj that comes to the club). Unfortunately you waited until the end of his set, when most dj's have to run to the toilet lol. He even stuck around until after the club closed it's doors in the smoking area right in front of the club. Mat was one of THE last people to leave lol.

Anyway, was a fantastic night! Casualties played a good opener, Enton played a proper set (this guys going places!) and Zo met and exceeding all expectations

About 12:40. I'm sure the free entry had more to do with my girlfriend than my negotiating skills haha. Nonetheless, don't be upset with the bouncer: it's great business and I'll be sure to come to another event of yours. And, I've already told a bunch of friends what a great time I had.

That's fair. We arrived later than expected from Hamilton, and Mat was already on. You're right about the toilet because I ran into Mat as he was coming out. I know that complaint sounded petty because at the end of the day it was a fun night.

Well done to you Mr. Morton, always a pleasure to see you spin Did anyone record the sets? I know a lot of friends that couldn't make it out last night.

Dude, Mat Zo and Ben Gold was chilling with the crowd all night long! I had to rush Mat to the washroom after his set so he doesn't piss his pants. I promished everyone a picture and everyone got a picture with him.

Don't make judgements too fast

No judgments Oz, the fact that you organize these nights is a real treat for us. You've told me in the past how much work is involved, so I can only commend you in that regard. Based on Kris' reply, it was a result of my friends and I showing up late and leaving early, so I stand corrected. Keep the great nights coming

By the way I wasn't bashing you in my last post. Sorry if it sounded like I was!

Thanks for coming out to support! I have an autographed poster for you if you want

"Synapse Dynamics (Arty Remix)" was another tune would of loved to hear!

thanks again Oz & Envy productions!

just one thing for next saturday i dunno if there is anyway to have more lighting b/c it
was dark then usual, or have a spotlight on Melissa Loretta when she does her live

I second that. Synapse Dynamics and Lucky Strike woulda been nice. I was waiting for Synapse more towards the beginning of his set and assumed Lucky Strike more towards the end...if not his closing tune. Oh well, still an enjoyable set for sure.

Thanks for uploading the videos too Coxx. And props to Oz for another great night.

Spoke with Mat he said he wanted to play Lucky Strike but the reason he didn't is because couldn't find it lol he says next time he is back he promises to have it ready to play.

One of the coolest and most down to earth artist I've met. He will definitely have a top notch career with his great mindset and attitude.
