Well, it's almost 4AM so I don't know how many responces I will get.

But I was woundering what are the differences between goa and psy trance?

I think Goa was the region in India where the first time the "new-school" hippies listend to this kind of music. When it came to europe, the thought i has to get a name which fits in the european music-scheme. So decided to call it psy-trance..

Goa trance is more melodic and contains more of a trance sound (Astral Projection)

Psy trance is weird shit, sort of thing hippies rave to on LSD (don't flame me), strange voices etc.. (Infected Mushroom)

Ive also heard that its the same thing...ppl just prefer to call them different..i think they played psy on parties in the city "Goa" in india...and therefor some preffered to call it "Goa music" cause it was played alot there...But it was still psy...
