Satan (eek!) First trance song for dd, Feedback plz

hi,
this is my first trance song i put on the web for direct download but I'm into producing for some years

It IS hardware only so the buildup is not perfect since it is done with realtime channel mute and so on.. I will redo it in some months when i have a pc for sequencing.

Wow, really good!
With some more percussion and more fx and a little bit clearer sound this one will be great. Awesome strings

a little patience, my friend, it's vacation for everyone around here

Just had a listen and it's not bad at all! could need some improvements here and there like haak said, but some good strings indeed

greetz,

Aiit... beginning is pretty normal, reminds me of Allure - No More Tears.

Claps too loud IMO, your call on this.

Pretty smooth, but at the part where the strings come in and the rides, the track feels kinda empty since there are no leads...

Break - The Synths are good at the start but when you make them last longer it sounds again like there's no lead...

Having the snare rolls both at the buildup and after it (The Climax) makes you feel like you haven't reached the top yet, like there is no fulfillment.

I can feel the emotion in this track, since this is your first work, I would have to say I'm impressed and will be waiting for more.

Definently has great potential, but right around the 4.10-4.15 mark at the climax, you build it up good and then there is nothing from there, build it up to and explosion and you are golden. Also again at the 5.24 mark again the build up, not so good, need an explosion that is better than the first one. Other than that, great track and like I said has some great potential. Hopefully that will help you out. Would like to hear it again after you get it tweaked again. PM me when it's back up casue I don't check the forums much and I want to hear the final product.

I understand the bad points but you have to know that sequencing on an mc 505 groovebox is VERY limited (7 tracks, 1 rhythm track with 8 rhythm mute knobs, ...) This was really the best I could make it, all parts were full and I dont like the rps.
Drori I know exactly what you mean, no lead at the buildup, problem was all tracks were full

I'm gonna buy a pc for sequencing, with cubase I'll be able to do a decent buildup and a powerfull climax which is just impossible with mc 505. (don't understand me wrong, i like the mc 505, has some good sounds, all pads of theh song come out of it).

I'll repost this one when i have my pc and mixing console, thx a lot
for the replies
