Climaxes comparable to Souvenir De Chine... Post them..

Starting at 4:50 on the original mix of Fire & Ice - Souvenir De Chine, is one of the most moving climaxes and melodies I have ever heard.

What are some that deliver that much power and energy, that can be compared to this one?

BTW If you havent heard Souvenir De Chine, what the hell are you waiting for!

i remember sum1 poiting out ligaya has a c,limax of similar style and proportions and i have to agree with them very much!

maybe tony walker - field of joy (original mix) but theres no strings i suppose

Ferry Corsten tries to get such a melodie in
gouryella - ligaya

other good examples

William Orbit - Barbers Strings for Adagio (Ferry Corsten Remix)
William Orbit - Ravels pavane pour une infante defunte (Ferry Corsten Remix)

The climax to Courtina - Music is Moving (Kumara mix) is quite good i think.

i dun think there is one
souvenir de chine is the best song i have ever heard

but not too far down the line, there's ligaya and adagio for strings
fire & ice - my galaxy (2000 extended mix)
is good too
not as moving, nor as powerful as souvenir de chine though

Posted by d-jay MyTH on Aug-20-2002 15:46:

yes there definitely is one like it

PHOTON PROJECT - ENLIGHTMENT

This tune has a damn good climax

Posted by toxa on Aug-20-2002 18:42:

Second Sun - Empire and System F - Solstice

Posted by _Marco_ on Aug-20-2002 18:46:

mauro picotto - back to cali
and Cygnus X - Positron (Marco V remix)
and ligaya for sure

Yahel & DJ Miss T - Going Up (In Search Of Sunrise Mix)

Are you kidding me, Fire & Ice - Souvenir De Chine is a bloody shit song..

No offence to PVD or BT fans but this song is similar to that crap...

not that im saying PVD and BT make crap songs, some songs are good.

omfg...now i hafta take that to offence...
souvenir de chine is one of the best songs ever produced!
the melody is just total bliss
it's so uplifting and emotional that the track just speaks for itself
but hey..who am i to complain
i mean...since l-vee and jurgen leyers are such crappy producers

Posted by wookieslut on Aug-21-2002 06:26:

to tell you the truth, im getting tired of pure trance melodies like souveneir de chine...its just a little to happy, theres no change to it. i need somethign more dynamic and i think thats why i am starting to spin a more progressive style of trance. souveneir de chine is kind of a newbies trance song

while Souvenir De Chine's build up is surely long and elaborate, it is not necessarily more intense and "moving" than any other trance track, even other Fire and Ice songs.

I mean, all that happens is the main riff is played sans beat (with a few odd percussion hits) then the beat starts. Pretty standard.

Compare that with Nu Nrg's Take Your Air. Probably the most incredible "uplifting" build up I have heard. Just over 2 min in length, it just builds and builds, with the main synth riff changing half way through.

Nu Nrg delivers the knock out punch to Fire and Ice

I always thought Better Off Alone was a newbies trance song

So you're saying epic is for beginners, prog is for pros?
Have fun trying to tell that to serious trance fans hehehe

Posted by capricorn15 on Aug-21-2002 07:15:

vimana - we came
fire and ice - lost emotions 2001
fire and ice - forever young
moonproject - moments are forever
mike - sunrise at palamos
lost tribe - under the red sea
subtle by design - kali yuga (john johnson remix)
alpha breed - alien arrival (freejack remix)
shokk - isnt it all a little strange (krazy nut mix)
jose amnesia - the eternal
plastic boy - angel dust
steve baltes - a kiss around midnight
pvd - out there and back

i think "shane 54" did a better version of "souvenir de chine".
