Pffft, it's only a little one!

Category 5 or GTFO.

Posted by OrangestO on Aug-26-2011 23:56:

It's a government conspiracy.

This thing has had more tracks than a heroin addict.

The forecast showed Florida getting hit for about a week, before it went on to Georgia, then South Carolina, then North Carolina, then Jersey, then New York, then back to Jersey, then to Pennsylvania, then to whatever the fuck it is now.

I wouldn't be surprised if these suits played this around to boost the economy.

Anyways, I was sad to watch it steer north just east of the Floridian coast without getting ANY impacts of it. It's pretty fucking amazing what nature can do.

My great-grandmother's name was Irene, and she was a total bitch. Good luck!

^^ Not sure if serious.

Forecasting a storm track like this one isn't as easy as you seem to think...

I've been following this one to an addictive extent, up until it passed Florida.

I get the precautionary measures that comes with difficult forecasting, but the media outlets completely used this thing to scare the shit out of people and overhype what it really is.

I know someone in Tampa (Gulf of Mexico side), who said he heard a weather reporter tell people on Wednesday that this storm still had a good chance of hitting the Gulf on the weekend. WTF?

That's besides the point, though.

HAARP. Google it.

They're using it to sell newspapers, like they always do. It's got nothing to do wit the government though, lol.

I don't have to Google it, I already know that it's utter fucking rubbish.

Sell newspapers? Or make people buy supplies that they don't need?

The media is a governed system....

And yes, I'm still confused about HAARP. I was hoping that by telling you to google it you could explain what the fuck it really is, lol.

Posted by Sushipunk on Aug-27-2011 00:35:

So the shopkeepers are in on it too, I suppose? THIS GOES WAY DEEPER THAN I PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT.

Yes, and the factories that produced the goods. And the construction workers who built the factories. And the mothers who birthed the construction workers. Everyone is in on it - WATCH OUT!

I guess I'm horrible at conveying sarcasm on an internet forum. Oh well.

where the hell is our drunken weather-person when you need him!!!

"oh, i'm in the middle-east in a secret location!"

wtf??? the desert is hot during the day and cold at night,
that pretty much describes the weather 99% of the time.
they don't need no damn metor . . . metorololol . . . flippin' weatherman!
get back to pointing at a map on tv and buying leisure suits!

A week ago this thing was out in the Atlantic Ocean. That's just how these things move.

Hurricanes are so large, they always affect a large area, Irene being no exception.

Good luck east coast. I don't like that the media is making this fearfest 2011, but oh well.

I can't wait until someone calls is "hurripocalypse" or "watergedden" like they do with the fucking snow storms.

It always makes me shake my head at how un-educated the media is when it comes to Meteorology.

Posted by tubularbills on Aug-27-2011 00:59:

Also, just for everyone's reference:

. that's the official track. anyone who says anything else from what the National Hurricane Center (tropical experts), is misinformed.

Posted by tubularbills on Aug-27-2011 01:00:

Also, this should keep Randall's Island pretty moist for ELectric Zoo next weekend. I don't know if that's a good thing yet or not.

It still is lol..

I think I'm just bitter because I didn't get to see a piece of it come around these parts. Heard the surfing was great, though.
