Best sports stadium of all time !!!

This is a tough question. It involves all sports. I'd have to say Staples Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kings, Avengers and other great events. Why Staples? Cuz it's been rated the best stadium two years in a row. I could be wrong. Come on guys!!! What do you think is the best sports stadium of all time.

Speaking of stadiums i'm designing using CAD program.

I like the Atmosphere at Anfield Road, Liverpool, home of the most successful team in Britain Liverpool FC.

I also like the Nou Camp, Barcelona.

SORRY ABOUT THE SIZE!

My dream is to visit all the great stadiums out there. I gotta get out of Los Angeles. I've been here for too long.

Selhurst Park

Confused

Wrigley Field...can't beat the atmosphere of the old stadiums. They must be good if they last so long. That's my "All time Fav"

I guess if we talk "all time" they should have some more history than 3 years even though some of the new places are awesome facilities. I like Safeco and the Bob.

But my Favorite new arena is Ralph Englestad Arena @ University of N. Dakota. Nothin like a $60 million dollar hockey facility for a college team...makes most of the pro rinks look like pond hockey. http://www.ralphengelstadarena.com/

Now if they can only get beer prices below $8...LOL

I guess it's impossible to choose the greatest stadium of all time, but I just wanted to see what you guys were gonna say. I still wanna hear what others have to say about this. Then I'll know what stadiums to visit in the near future. It would be one cool trip. Of course I'll get to check the city out as well.

You're sitting to far from the pitch....but it looks great!

Greetings.

And I would say ArenA in Amsterdam, for two reasons. Reason number one Ajax plays there, and reason number two, cause of Sensation and other events that are happenin there.

I heard great things about this stadium indeed, I got a couple of buddies who are huge affecionados of FC Persepolis and they told me quite a few mesmerizing stories about 100,000 fanatics jumping all together during the games there. It's interesting to note that Iran hasn't lost a game in that stadium in over 30 years...

I certainly wouldn't like to be the player who scores against the home side in Tehran Azadi

Boca Junior's and River Plate's homes get my vote as well

I can't believe nobody mentioned Maple Leafs Garden!!
the mecca of hockey
too bad it's not being used anymore

Posted by malek on Oct-03-2002 21:17:

mecca of hockey???

how about the old forum in montreal. The Canadiens won 24 stanley cups there way more than any other hockey club and until recently more than any professional sport team worldwide.

but now it has become a shopping center

THE BIG HOUSE!!!

yah you dont know what im talking about...its Michigan Stadium, where my team plays american football. i know, you hate it, but it hold 117000 people watching COLLEGE football - which is quite amazing. we have some crazy fans, alt in comparison to rregular football, we dont riot too often or anything. -no hooligans- late|

oh heres a qtvr of the place:
Michigan Stadium

looks normal, but when you see it only has 1 level, and holds that many people its impressive. oh, and being there is almost necessary - but thats always tru!

For hockey:

Maple Leaf Gardens has to be the greatest arena ever built for a couple of reasons. A) Toronto is the Hockey Town everything revolves around hockey in Toronto.B)Maple Leaf gardens was the loudest of the old arena's. I remember being there when Doug Gilmore scored that famous wrap around goal Vs. the St.Louis blues in 1993. The place erupted i was deaf for an hour lol.

For Baseball:

I enjoy watching games at Safeco Field in Seattle, its such a nice stadium. So technologically advanced that it makes watching baseball fun.

For Soccer:

I remember watching World Cup 98 and being really fascinated with the Stad De france. Such an amazing Stadium. Excellent pitch and the stadium offered a very intense feel to every game played there.

For Football:

The Expansion Texans have a very impressive Football stadium. Even though its brand new i still feel its one of the greatest stadiums ever built.

But overall the Best stadium in my oppinion which is very hockey biased because i live in Toronto would have to be MLG "Maple Leaf Gardens"

Thanks

C/O
