Don't really know about Dave Clarke or his music but I know that DT is good. I don't think it's really necessary to compare 2 dj's like that but I will try my best to make to both of the parties ;-)

Start off with Dave Clarke and end up with DT's drums afterhours?

might be the way to go

Posted by SebG on Aug-31-2011 13:16:

I might do this

Sorry boys, but I think you should skip DT altogether, DT LIVES in NY, Dave Clarke is never around. You're going to feel so molested by the hardest techno you'll ever hear that all you'll want to do is take a shower 3 times. Can't wait for a proper techno assault to the brain, was def the best guy I saw in Detroit this year. I left Speedy J and Liebing for him and still do not regret it one bit.

i guess everyone has their own opinions but i beg to differ. idk why but he just doesn't cut it for me! im not hating on the guy, he does his thing..but i def will say, if anyone seriously has to even contemplate between DC and DT, i would go onto say that they have issues.

chaska, i couldn't have said it any better- "proper techno assault to the brain lol- kudos!

This would be very difficult to do but is absolutely the right move.

what an awful conflict!! but as stated, despite DTs dark drums, dave clarke would win out.

how long does dave usually spin? is he like paul ritch who no matter where he goes he only does an hour or 2 sets? or is he more of a marathon dj?

Huh?

Dave Clarke is not playing September 17th.

Cristian Arango is.

Did you see this somewhere?

You know how I do!

I used to LOVE DT, but tbh I've been very unimpressed for the past few years. I do have a lot of respect for the guy, he left his mark, but I don't feel him anymore. To me he's turned into a ranting, bitter old diva that plays the same old tired music. He's just not as relevant as he used to be, he's like the Madonna of house/techno.

I was at the CLR party for maybe 45 mins... Caught some Drumcell, went to the main room for a bit and it just wasn't hard enough. I was expecting to be slapped like a bitch with the techno, but it just didn't happen. I guess with seeing Liebing a couple of days before, I wanted to catch something I hadn't.

I hear you! it's just that after that Nightsneak party I was emotionally drained, I couldn't even make myself go to the Circoloco party. Just sayin'. And I did, IN FACT, take a couple of showers and a dip in the pool after Dave Clarke's set. I then proceeded to sleep like a baby for 4 hours

DC is usually an extended set type of guy, although he only played 2-4 hours in Detroit. I don't exactly remember. I would sell my soul to the devil to hear him play in a dirty, sweaty warehouse again.

Well, as much as it pains me to to tell you this, that's wrong.

But I've learned to let pain go...and move on.

sigh.

I don't know...you'd have to talk to D36 management about that.

Sucks. I hope they still are having him at some point!

So DT's drums win in the end? I'm down to do a double party if it happens though Andrew...
