-- Dr. Dre Detox. When?

Posted by Aaron C. on Aug-31-2011 01:06:

Dunno Dr. Dre Detox. When?

When is this happening? I want the instrumentals. Dr Dre needs to do the P.diddy thing and team up with Guy Gerber or some one and put out some tech house or somethin.

I always thought his beats should only do the talking like dj premier. Even i can rap better than dre.

Yeah i'm not a fan of rap myself. But i love his production work. His instrumentals are awesome. Then again he's not really know for his word play; hence the reason he uses ghost writers for his lyrics.

You can't argue with his verse on California Love. Or the production, for that matter. Favourite Dre moment for me.

he has always had great flow but the lyrics lacked a punch (not that they were bad but you could always feel that they came from someone else).

I don't care if Justin Bieber writes his lyrics, his flow/presentation and production can make just about anything sound good.

NWA - Alwayz into Something

Dre just kills it on every verse

based on the songs leaked/released i predict it will be the biggest piece of overhyped shit ever

NWA had a huge void without Ice Cube.

You cannot rap better than dre.

Posted by Mattsanity. on Aug-31-2011 20:06:

^true. I definitely can't especially when I don't have ice cube, d.o.c, eminem, snoop dogg, royce da 5'9, and _________ writing for me.

Posted by DANGERDOOM on Aug-31-2011 20:52:

The stuff that D.O.C. has written for Dre apparently extends way, way beyond that which he has been credited for aswell.

And yeah there is already no way that this will be anything other than a disappointment.

I think it'll be a decent album for what it is. I just think it's been built up to be some kind of holy grail of rap albums and i imagine that's not what it's going to be. But good album by rap standards; yes.

I'd be lying if I said I didnt sing along to the chorus of I need a doctor. It's the only top 40 song I like from this year.

the verses are terrible though. dre sounds like an amateur for the first time in his career and its beyond obvious Em wrote the lyrics

Dre put out another track other then Kush this year? I figured he'd just drop one single and then Detox would finally happen.

Well you are right in a sense that the mass crowd would rather listen to a nigga than a chigga rapping. Even Jin, the greatest oriental rapper ever, didnt blow up in america.

aaron, Im very sorry brethren.
But i wonder what will happen first, detox release or jesus' comeback.

I cant disagree, homie.

Dr dre cant burn me on his hottest day. Because I'm first like A 'till im old and gray

I hadn''t head of this album or it's singles until now so I went and gave "I need a doctor" a watch and wow, pretty pathetic. I've always hated eminem's voices and the way he stings together cheesy lines. And that course is just striving for top 40 matertial. The Chronic 2001 is in my limited rap knowledge one of the greatest rap albums of all time. He can't possibly come near that.

Posted by Mattsanity. on Sep-01-2011 18:45:

^eminem was paying homage to dr dre on that song. if it wasn't for dre who accepted em's demo in 1997, em's only punchline would be do you want fries with that.

Posted by daphunky1 on Sep-02-2011 06:35:

Fair enough. But couldn't they have done it in some sort of less embarassing/top 40 way?
