Cherry Beach Labour Day Monday Review?

Did anyone attend? How was it?

I heard the roaches were playing and a special guest. Did they the roaches play separate or versus style?

Reviews?

Good Party.

Got there around 8:45. The Roaches had just started and were playing bumpy tech. Everyone was loving it and they started to go deeper and harder. Would have loved Buttrich to take over and blow us away, but it wasn't in the cards. Maziar and Kian took over instead and the vibe was killed. They played a technically good set, but instead of picking up where Carlo and Nathan left off, they played more melodic synthy stuff, which was never going to take the party to that next level.

All in all a great end to the summer though, tons of fun with friends and good people. Can't really ask for more.

Ridiculous. One of the best times I've had at Cherry Beach in recent memory. Dirty Dale was good from what I caught of him, one of the Azari & III group made a surprise appearance and rocked it. The Roaches played amazingly too (and played back to back). The crowd was loving it and it was a great atmosphere.

I'm sad that it was the last one for the season, but it definitely went out with a bang.

Got there at 6:30, right before one of the dudes from Azari & III hit the decks. Pretty awesome to say the least, when he busted out Gesaffelstein - Glass it was one of my most favourite moments that night, tbch Anyways, I like how his set progressed, perfect way to build up to The Roaches.

When the roaches came on, well, from the first 30 secs I was like "Oh boy, this is gonna be good." Kick dropped, and we had liftoff. They played a pretty banging set. The crowd was loving it... I had to move out of the front near the middle of the set though, there were too many people in the front and I had no room to dance more than just moving in the same foot holes. I picked that spot on the left, near the speaker + in view of the DJ booth, that area is awesome. Still get some of the lows but you get more of the highs/mids.

I thought Maziar and Kian played a GREAT set. You can't have banging Lio+Barato shit for 4 hours at CB... Maziar and Kian's set was perfect to slowly ease out the night, smoke a J and just sway in those hypnotic beats.

When the night was over, I was in a perfect mood. Mad props, can't wait for 2012!
