Acid Lines
Acid Lines: i am after. I was thinking of getting a TI virus as i once had, however cost wise im sure there is an alternative. I am using logic 9, so i was thinking as i am new to it, maybe a sine wave with effects etc and routing. Or is there a good plug in i can get. I am after real nasty acid lines etc.
thanks in advance for any information.
Audiorealism Bassline 2. Or 1.
ESM or ES2?
It's more about the distortion than the synth tbh.
I think the ohmboyz and/or guitar amp sims rule here.,
pulse, detune, distortion and a bandpass-filter and there you go
if you're after a 303-style acid line then check out either D16 Phoscyon or Audiorealism ABL2.
One of the onboard synths in logic is the go just need to isolate what i need to do maybe you tube is an option! It wouldnt be a hard thing to create im sure. Shall look into it some more. Thanks for info most appreciated.
Both ESM and ESX24 have excellent acid sounds, though I would recommend tweaking them a lot to get the proper sound.
Best tute out there imo

Watch psytrance tutorials for great tips on acid lines.
Basically any synth with decent envelopes, a mod matrix and glide can be used. As always, my answer for this is albino 3.

D16 Phoscyon is my go to for acid lines. The newest version is amazing.
It is better than Audiorealism Bassline imo as it has a more in depth distortion section.
I've got a TB303 and find I use Phoscyon more as it is so quick to program and fit into the mix.

Absolutely can not beat the virus for that imo. This is one sound I almost always go to my snow for. In fact the only sound lol. Both acids and sync sounds, compared to z3ta with ohmicide or sylenth with ohmicide or silver box or phosycon or anything really the virus just produces very rich tones for acids.
Can you post some of your Virus acid noises, Robby? Definitely not the first synth that comes to mind for me as far as acid.
