Daniel Bedingfield-Gotta Get Thru This

what is the big deal with this tune? it started getting popular. actually i don't know when it got popular. i downloaded the tune and i hated it. it's not all that

Posted by BeatFreak on Aug-22-2002 05:02:

Which mix did you download? I've seen some crappy versions online but I can't find the one I hear on the radio. I think it's a pretty cool song actually.

The mp3 with the filename "Daniel Bedingfield - Gotta get thru this" sucks.

I've only heard the original, and I thought it was terrible!

Are there any remixes that are worth downloading?

Posted by djrichy on Aug-22-2002 07:08:

this song reminds me of a song i went to cuz im sure it was on repeat as i heard it so many times!
used to like this tune at one point, but now i dont. ive not heard a single remix of this tune.
(<- sarcastic!!)

all the kids up here love this song i dont know why

i have the original and radio mix on my computer and they sound like two completely different songs minus the lyrics

song is no good in my opinion anyway

Posted by torontotrance on Aug-22-2002 16:08:

it's cheesy....i hate it but it works for the commercial end of things and it went number #1 here and radio cannot stop playing it. Julie_spyder loves that song......even daniel himself hates the song but it went number one in many countries and i don't think it hurt his wallet.....so whatever i guess

It's well-produced in a way that it's really catchy which makes it really popular and the guy who made it lots of money. This guy also produces his own music, writes his own lyrics by himself...which is at least better than most pop stars out there.

this crap song was popular on the MOS charts ONE YEAR AGO in the UK and now it is finally known in the States ... goes to show how far behind any music is over here (even if it is cheesy shit like this)

This is true for a lot of popular dance songs over here in the US. They're popular months in Europe. before they come out here. For example, 'rapture' just got big here this summer when it had been out for probably over a year.

I dunno about the UK, but when I was in Germany in February, all the popular rap and r&b songs were songs that came out in the US back in November or so, so there I guess it works both ways since 'DJ Sammy - Heaven' was big there in February and got big here around July.
