I Really like the bass you have going throughout - especially around 1:30 - theres a nice atmosphere - the drums are feeling pretty good as well - the lead you have around 1:50 i feel could be improved - try possibly layering another instance of the sound only an octave higher - and perhaps give it some reverb with a mid - long decay rate - 2:30 is sounding pretty good as well - possibly around 3.15 - give the snares and whatnot a little reverb so they last a little longer - im liking this a lot though. Your bass is my favorite part - can i ask what synth you were using there?

thanks for the feedback. ill keep playing with it. the bass synth im using is just the thor from reason 4.

Good start for a solid track

I think this track needs more random perc sound (like this thrack: Moby - Go (trentmoller remix) )

the breakdown was a bit dry for my taste: it lacks atmosphere (sound effects, effects and maybe a pad?)

continu the good work

Yeah the second embedding doesn't work.

About the first one I just say that it's not even close to what I learned that was hardtrance when the first hardtrance releases came out.

Btw, cool to see some other Reason user here.

ya sorry I deleted the first cut from soundcloud thats why its not there anymore. the one you see is the current mix.

psynon- im just starting to see the power reason has. I might switch to logic sometime soon but im not sure yet. and btw its not meant to be hardtrance. I love that style dont get me wrong. I used to listen to the older hardtrance by cosmic gate before they changed and older scot project. this track I figured was more tech trance. maybe slightly harder but thats open to interpretation. thx for listening

Perc could use some love. Seems like the track could use some overall groove. Some cool moments and synth parts, though.

Just my thoughts about logic - I've used pro for almost a full year and have never been able to produce anything that was worth any merit... i've owned fl for a little less than 2 months and already my production quality has rises immensely each week. Go through my soundcloud and listen to some of my stuff from prior weeks - i owe it all to FL's simplicity and vibrant colors

Reason i've heard GREAT things about - and i am considering picking it up to see if it can do things better in aras that FL is weak in. W/e ur doing however seems to be working great for you - that track is sounding very good so far keep with it.

Evolve I value your advice because I like the tunes you make. If you could be a bit more specific on how I can add groove and love to the percs I would definitely pay close attention.

Dlovas. thanks for the kind words. The only reason I was considering logic was because of some of the awesome sounding vsts im missing out
on in reason. Im just starting to be able to create sounds from scratch and the stock reason patches are horrible imo. Maybe because the ease of use and the fact im very familiar with reason I should reconsider.

Hey man,

Typing as I listen.

Nice percussion but as already mentioned it could do with a bit more movement and groove, I would look at adding some delay or subtle delay. Another good way to spice up delay is to add some effects like phasing or a flanger again that can be done subtly just to spice up the percussion and make it less artificial and dry.

I think some more FX in the intro would be good to give it more atmosphere and keep interest.

Nice little build snares sound good, I think someone mentioned adding a higher layer to the lead which I agree with as there seems to be a gap in the higher frequencies of the track. I like the sound you are going for though.

I don't really listen to this sort of stuff so I'd take my feedback with a grain of salt. I think the arrangement could be a little more defined just to make the various segments of the track more obvious. Cool change adding the wobble synth, sounds almost deadmau5y around the 3:00 minute mark. Quite a dark track, reminds me of something else but I can't remember what atm.

I think the transition around 3:48 could be smoother, maybe echo the elements out into the breakdown.

I think some FX throughout the track would well actually just to give the listener something else to listen to.

Outro was a bit long for me. Overall it is a pretty decent track, I think the mix was pretty clean so good work there, I enjoyed it, nice work

Thanks for the feedback. I have been working on it a bit and have already addressed some of the things you mentioned. I will experiment with the rest.

Really very good bass sound and bass end mixing.

I agree the percs and groove need to be a lot better though and to gradualy evolve and vary throughout. Nice melodic tune this.

Cheers
