i have a baseball bat beside my bed and my old skate deck with rusted trucks by the back door...lol. there has been a lot of break ins in my neighbourhood in the last few months, some resulting in burglary and sexual assault on children. So if someone kicks down my door this is my first line of defence. seriously though, i'll fucking smash them in the head and kick them in the balls and then grab the kids and run. good ol' medicine hat.

When someone tried to kick our door in one night, I slept on the sofa for about 2 months afterwards with my cricket bat next to me. Unfortunately for them, they didn't come back

Someone recently told me that if you own a bat but not a baseball glove to go with it you can be prosecuted for possession of a deadly weapon. Sounds pretty strange, I know, but he's pretty knowledgeable about technicalities of law, so I have to wonder.

Could also just be a Vermont law.

i'll look into that.. i think i'm good to go though. one of my best friends is a cop here in town and he said i had the right to protect myself and my family, and then i think he also said if i hurt someone trying to break into my house and i would get in trouble the cops would make it look like i didn't do anything wrong, but i don't really believe that, maybe if he responded to the call, lol! but i'm glad you mentioned it and i will look it up.
