Daft Punk touring next year
...aaaaaand look at the bottom right corner of that flyer!

Last time was mental.
Is there any official news regarding this? It seems like rumors come out every few months or so saying that they will be touring ... Would be nice if true but i'll wait until something concrete is announced.
ps. I still feel sorry for all the n00bs that missed out on their last show
OMG YES!! I sure hope it's not just their tron music, though

I liked Da Funk and Revolution 909. That's about it.
Ok, Musique was neat too.

Originally posted by Tordan I sincerely hope these rumors are true. But they have been going around for more than a year now. Would love to see them live at least once. GGM, where'd you find that flyer?
that 2007 show is probably the reason im even writing this message in this forum right now
Never really got into the Daft Punk thing, kinda just viewed them as a bootleg Kraftwerk 2.0.
*awaits jeers*
Having said that, if they come here again, I'd love to check out the show and be proven wrong.

I'll be at their Toronto show for sure! I haven't seen em live before, always wanted to since I agree it's a musical experience that should be seen/heard at least once in person
NOT, i repeat, NOT missing them this time.
People are forgetting that this was the same sunday august 5th of the dj Demi cruise control. And boy was that ever a fun day for Toronto. Not only that but the after parties on college and even the rest of the week for me.
That week was so much Fun fun for me, it extended into fri. I got a good story for that one it gives me chill when i tell my friends.

The Demi cruise was part of a legendary day. Sunday August 4th 2007 was also the same day as the Daft Punk concert in which was part of a long long night. After the concert were after parties all over Toronto especially on College St. But yes, the cruise was great! I met some really good friends that day.

Originally posted by Dior Homme I find it funny the same thing i wrote in 2008 is the same thing i write today. In all honesty, if they had a tour next year it would be very very very hard to top the 2007 performances. Simply because the expectations will be very high because of the 1000's of people who attended that year. Not to mention they havent come out with much since that time other than the Tron soundtrack (which was amazing) and maybe their Electronica DVD which was okay...... And the whole pyramid thing with lights would have to be even better if they are looking to top it. If they do come great, but i think its 3-4 years too early and 1-2 albums off for another concert and repeat that kind of magnitude. Sorry guys who missed the aug 5th 2007 show, you might have really missed the boat on that one.
