lol am i the only one, cuz when i burn good trance cd's n all and my friends go. "omg that sooo dope burn me a copy", i feel its too unique to bee in the hands of n00bs who listen to sandstorm for trance n all, i want it to be all mine!. lol neone same way?

but just on vinyl, mp3s i dont give a shit, or CDs.

I always put the releases on CD for friends because they don't have the "connections" like I have. So they can stay up to date!

I play tracks for my friends and they go "wow, dude!!! give me a copy!!!! please!!! burn me a CD with good tracks!!!" and I say "ok" and "forget" about it....... lol and they keep reminding me and I say "I'll burn it when I have time"

Way to go. People know I'm a traceaddict and I'm always glad to help whenever they come to me and say "Hey do you now that la-la-la-la tune!? (and I often do know what they're talking about)". I just show them what it is, I show the remixes, and so on.

yea, i owe a lot to the TA community considering how much i download from TAs and the site itself. But when im being a bastard, i sometimes burn my cds for my friends and not give them the track listing.

i only have 1 friend who i give stuff to..and thats cus he loves the music and comes to see all the DJs with me live...

but i stopped giving my music to other friends because 1 time i gave my friends Tiesto's Energy 2000 set and like 4 of them said it was cheese...so i was liek thats it..you guys dont know shit...and i cut them off...

but i hate it when my friends, who doesn't know shit when it comes to electronica and considers every genre to be techno, ask me for stuff
prime example: b4 ISOS3 came out in stores, I burned a copy, when the album came out, I bought it, and my friend asked me for the copy i burned...i think he's juss being a follower, because he have never heard of any of the tracks on the album, he juss wants me to consider him as a trance addict...fat chance!
i also hate it when people come to my house and see my trance song on the winamp playlist...then they say stupid stuff like "omg, u don't have dirty vegas - days go by or basement jaxx - where's your head at?!?! I'm gonna d/l that for you, it's a wicked "techno" song!!"

and it'd feel so wrong to give mp3s with someone who sometimes listens to trance, yet is not a real *TranceAddict*

so i guess when you go clubbing and the dj drops a new track, its like giving answers to a test? i think not.... its called introducing people to new shit...

well, i think you didn't understand my analogy at all. i "study", i browse forums, i download quality tracks along with some poor cheese on my 56k, etc. therefore i'm eligible to be introduced to new stuff. it's just unfair if i download all those songs, delete the bad ones, rename the good ones, cherish them, back them up, and then some rap bloke asks me to have those back ups

then they tell you to throw on a few more tracks. After you put on the other tracks they turn round and say ur music choice sucks or claim they know more about trance than u that last bit really pisses me off.

i see what you mean, but i mean, its not like you're giving away answers on an exam after studying months. its just music. not many people have time to go on forums all th time. your friends just want a little help being introduced to some new music, so why all this fuss?
