Johan Gielen Review
My first time at the club and I can say only one thing...and that is that all the talk lived up to its expectation....the sound system is incredible and lazers are top notch....
The club atmosphere not bad...lots of nice people and the setup with the Dj booth is great as well...
Highlight of the night for me was when Gielen dropped
Gouryella - Ligaya
I don't think that the sound system could have complimented that track any better...it was absolutelly incredible
Other memorable mentions
Intro - Solar Stone - seven cities [ armin mix ]
rank 1 - awakaning [ cosmic gate ]
l'esperanza....really nice
some others just cant remmember right now
The opening Dj was great also...played a lot of tracks that had a break beat in them and although the set was pretty hard I enjoyed it
Did meet 2 individuals who deserve a mention:
1) the dude with the black Tank Top who took me and the 2 girls I was with outside and hung with us for a portion of the night [ you know who you are : you said you live 5 minutes away ]
2) Then I saw my friend chatting it up with Swamps so I got to talk to him [ Swamps Im the guy who was with Kathy and my girlfriend ]
It was nice to finally meet you
all in all I had a great time....wish I could have danced more lively but I had my ankle operated on about 4 weeks ago so I had to take it easy....
I left just after 5 when Gielen took off, would like to know what the rest of the night was like for future reference

Gielen fuckin ROCKED last night or should i say..earlier today 
was a craaazy night.....
only upsettin thing was that i had to have my bacardi silver in a plastic cup....i couldnt take thebottle ...oh well..minor detail
there were so many good points in the set.....geez..hard to pic a best.....

the chillout after we left the club at tim hortons was fun too

i dunno what else to say.. the set was practically perfect.. Gielen handing out those autograph cards to us TA's was just icing on the cake! u guys know who u are !!
the club.. formidable sound and lighting system. nothing else tops it outside of Guv..
vibe.. incredible especially with all you TA's that showed up in full force with me! and of course meeting Swamps as usual..
and sorry for all the peeps that went outside for the 1AM meet.. that area was kinda hard to find for everyone, but most of us did meet at the pre-hitup at Country Style before goin it ..
for those of you who weren't there.. check out the liveset Swamp is gonna post as well as the videos and don't say we didn't tell ya so!!

The party was off the wall!!! Those of you who didn't make it to the party, well lets just say you missed out.
Did anyone hear Gielen drop cheese last night??? Unless my ears deceived me that was one quality set..

Well all in all i had a amazing night. lots of room to dance. music was absouloutely amazing. Loved the lightworks and i am glad i met up with the remaining TAs. We should do it more often.
One more thing.. i would like to give a shout to swamper who met me and the remaining gang on the dance floor.
Bizz thanks for the ride bud.

omg. and Awakening, and Madagascar, funny, armin opened up with seven cities too, and I heard madagascar from ferry, armin and gielen, seems like a favorite song to drop. Hehe.
Anyways, I must say, I don't see what people are ragging on Viva about. Great club. Sharp sound, killer lighting. Cool snow machine. Couldn't even tell that it was all-ages. Didn't feel threatened at all. And not over-packed like Guv. Although it was extremely hot at times.
Funny thing was the little car accident outside the club. BMW and Acura SUV. LOL! You know you're in markham when there's Great Cars and Shit Drivers. 
Crazy beat juggling with Twisted. 
Something for me to try at home. Fresh stuff, after hearing the usual intro beat over outro beat mixing of other dj's. Its good to see the Dj do more than just beatmatch. Although he did kill the flange effect hehe.
So, to summerize, I had fun; thumbs up, Johan.

Left for the party around 11 pm got there and it was empty. But it soon picked up.. the reisident djs were playing some underground acid trance or somehting but it was pretty cool.. The lights were amazing and so was thte sound.
Gielen started off his set and right off the bat it was fucking killer SOLAR STONE SEVEN CITIES AGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH
The party was incredible i didnt mind the atmosphere alot. I came by with a couple of my old school partier friends, my brother and his friends. Met up wit lotsa lotsa TAS tho. Swamper with his GF, and a whole buncha ya in hte middle of the floor, Endless wave, Stylez, a girl TA who i just cant remember her name , A persian TA who i cant remember his name, and a bunch of others , im really bad with names :O. Also Trance extacy and your friend with the slevless black shirt. It was fun hittin it up in the dance floor... dance rooom YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.!
I never got to see you damndirtyape. if you were in front of the asian on the floor, i was there with them trying to learn some new glowstick moves lol. , anyways it was an incredible party. tracks worht mentioning KATANA GEMINI, LESPERANZA, KISS , AWAKENINGS !

First of all, props to Gielen! Very good set, and cheese free, it was my first time seeing him and i've gotta say im impressed - I like a Dj who cheeres along with the crowd! Unfortunatly I had to leave @ 4:30 cuz I just couldn't move, somehow I managed to shoot my back, and it KILLS!
One thing I didn't like, ppl forming CONGO lines and GOING THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE DANCE FLOOR!!!!! I was like - WTF? I had to stop @ least 20 times to let these ppl through, HAVE SOME DECENCY, WALK AROUND the dancefloor! That was the ONLY thing that I didn't like.
Didn't get to meet any TAs (Except DJ_ALFA, we smoked your focus hehe ), I was @ the chill area from 12:55 to 1:10, didn't see anyone who looked like they were there for a meetup!
Anyways, I was the guy in a grey shirt and jeans, was pretty much in the middle of the dance floor during the whole set.
Btw, did anyone take PICS? We took a camera but the batteries WERE DEAD!
all i have to say is that that club makes me want to be asian :P
nuff said about the club
johan dropped an AMAZING set, 3 hours of amazing tracks nothing dissapointing, got enouhg epic and hard stuff to keep me going all thru the set. great meeting all the TA's
az gets the award for being the TA beacon, i found him thru the whole crowd in under 2 minutes :P

ok heres the deal.....
i dunno how this was possible but Time2Burn and i had one to the bar area cos we thought that it was the chillout area at that point in time and i guess because we had the wrong idea of the location, we all missed each other.....
was nice to meet tha webmonstah and Ithikia... i aws shocked to see the turnout of those who dont really post and were still there.... im sorry but i forgot who those were..just remember the faces....
as for my regualr TA peeps who were with me, next time we go for an event, lets leave our hours of sleep out of all conversations..i think we went a bit too far arguing over that...
Shout out to Stylez, Waxen, Time2Burn, Mavspire, Desidel, Bizz, Maxtuh, Hardcore_Trancer, TrancXtacy, and whoever else was tehre but dont usually post

first time seeing gielen and i gotta say he is AMAZING. he really knows how to have fun with the music, and he's such a clown up there. i dunno why everyone rips on him so much....
i just wish i DIDN'T know he was gonna play kiss... it would've been such a suprise. hearing kiss made me want to cry. such an awesome song.
as for viva, the lights and sound system are at least as good as guv, if not better. i actually think they're better than guv, and the snow machines are kinda cool, =P.
this is kind of a vague description, but does anyone remember the song with alot of piano in it?? ugh.. i wish i could describe it better. also, what was that song that kinda sounded like fancy fair, but then had that "they know what is what..." line in it?
