Hi.

I did the rip of the PvD video. It has been uploaded TWICE to Swampers Tranceaddict FTP, and he has not shared it in over a month now.

I will be contacting Starfox and uploading it to his FTP I believe.

awsome d00d thanx!

whats the details of it?

as in how big is it.... does it show much of his set etc etc

It was capped from a Channel V (Foxtel) special. Basically there are 2 clips about 5 mins each with footage of the crowd. The music is NOT of him playing live (ie. recorded live), but the tunes are nice. Both withs are about 40 meg each (off the top of my head).

Apparently PvD is making a DVD now:

TRANCE.NU -- Get ready for a trance DVD. Paul van Dyk remixes For An Angel and many more for this upcoming goodie and another film soundtrack to come!

Written by: Daniela Busciglio, aka LuNaSeA
Tentatively named PvD DvD, master of trance Paul van Dyk is in the process of making a DVD containing video footage of his world tour. PVD DVD is set to be released autumn 2002. Plus: PvD is remixing tracks from the his three full-length albums including the beloved For An Angel.

There is another part but IMO this one is the best one, the other part doesn't do PVD justice.

Enjoy

Thanks, I've been wondering what was up with it.

What was wrong with the original sound? Wouldn't it be better to keep the original sound so that it's in-sync with the actions of the people and lighting?

Well seeing as tho I ripped it, allow me to explain

The sound you hear is the original sound from the clip, nothing bar a fade in and fade out, and normalization has been done to the audio. Any "out of sync" you seem to see is only in your imagination. Either that or blame the foxtel guys, because nothing has been altered in that regard by me.

Oh.. now I understand... why didn't they keep the original sound from the actual night.

Couple of reasons I guess..

They only had 1 camera, and they wanted multiple angles (its boring from 1 angle all the time)

That way they could make more of a "music video"

Secondly, their audio live from the night would have been CRAP, so alot better to edit in digital audio over the video.

Cheers!
