King Sinead O'Connor - PVD Remix-I.D?

Its a tune he's been playing out recently, and I finally found out who it was by when I saw him last night. I was quite shocked actually coz I'm not her greatest fan but its undeniably a beautiful tune with some dreamy vocals in it.
Its got the lyrics "I'll always know your name" (or something along those lines) Its really really nice and there are classic PVD sounds in it, I just wondered if anyone knows the actual name of the track so I can try to find it. Yes I know I'll never get the PVD mix...

I'm not sure but i think the latest Sinead O Connor track that was running around was Troy

Posted by Twig on Aug-25-2002 13:22:

i am 99% sure he played this last night,, a track with a lot of vocal and classic PvD samples over the breakdown. but i dont know the vocal.

I know olny that PvD was making remix of Sinead O'Connor track.
Can't say anymore because I didn't listen to his performance at Amnesia

last night he played this track and it was FULL of vocal, but it didnt really sound like sinead o connor voice but who knows it deffo had samples that are 100% PvD in it though.

The track from CF last night had the same 'bongo beats' before it all kicks off as his other new track 'Arctic' had.

Yes, but the "Bongo beats" appeared shortly in previous PvD sets, right?

I had replied to your post in the other thread, but this Track with the vocals you state is NOT Sinead O'Connor but rather Second Sun-The Spell..he's been playing this for about 3 months now but Paul doesnt play it when he knows the set is being recorded...I guess he didnt know Kiss FM would be recording it..oh well...

Posted by Club Attack on Aug-25-2002 18:33:

NO NO NO NO NO!!! Mate it ain't the spell!!! LOL! It has got similar lyrics but its totally different! Its "I'll always know your name" not "I don't even know your name." I am familiar with the Spell and I have it on reliable record that this new tune is Sinead O'Connor - PVD mix.

BTW I noticed those bongos from Arctic too!!!

It's definately not 'The Spell' i've heard a sample of that and this sounds completely different. My guess would be that this is either this new Sinead O' Connor remix or his collaboration with Jan Johnson.

Yeah I have to say it doesn't sound all that much like Sinead O'Connor but thats what I got told. We'll have to wait and see...

Arrow

I was just speculating...almost the same lyrics i gues...

No probs man I see where you were coming from

Gonna bump this baby ... My new thinking is that it could be a tune from her next album due Oct. '02 ...

i have seen the album tracklist, its not there

I have seen the tracklist myself but i don't think you can judge if it's any of those tunes just from the titles. Maybe it isn't a remix at all and she just supplied vocals to one of his new tracks ...

Paul van Dyk in interview about Vorsprung Dyk Technik 2:

- We are doing a new one, probably going to be called The Second Level with all the remixes I have done from then till now, including rarities like Alanis Morissette, Robbie Williams Millennium and probably the Sinead OConner track that Im doing.

hello,

the tracklisting of VDT 2 isnt confirmed yet so you could not have since... and for you that do not know the latest info, the release wont happen as planned in September 20th.

many greetings,

f0x

I think he was referring to the tracklist for the new Sinead O'Connor album Art!

I just assumed that with it supposedly being a Sinead O'Connor Remix that it was something from her next album due Oct. '02

Maybe it was just a collaboration though and she only supplied vocals for one of Pauls new tracks. It seems quite probable to me!

King

Went to see PVD at Heaven on Friday and he played this Sinead O'Connor track, and he also played Arctic twice (as he seems to be doing a lot lately!!!) I couldn't help noticing how VERY similar the two tracks are. The Sinead O'Connor version is almost Arctic with different vocals. Maybe its a mash up

Posted by Twig on Sep-02-2002 13:54:

the two tracks are completely different, however he has used a variation of the Arctic 'cowbell' sample in the Sinad O'Connor track.
